As an actor, I absolutely love Matt Damon. The Bourne Ultimatum is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I can watch it again and again without getting tired of it. He is one of my favorite actors. However, his political ideas are some of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard.
Matt Damon has a crazy idea that he, and his fellow millionaires and billionaires, need to be taxed more so that his money can be used to help the world. He doesn't believe that he should have that money but that his money should be spread around and not given to him, but those who are worse off than him. In the interview below, he explains that it is "criminal" that the wealthy aren't paying more in taxes. Also in this interview, Matt Damon has the brilliant idea of taxing the rich more "per million dollars." It's interesting to watch.

He was dumb to begin with and now he hangs with other Hollywood dummies who re-enforce one another's dumb ideas. Its just like a faculty lounge tea kegger only with less educated participants. The result is much the same, stupidity amplified and large political burps. Pass the Bromo.
How about no star can make more than 20x what an extra makes? Wasn’t that a lib argument vs. CEO’s? They should not make ‘ridiculous’ salaries vs their companies’ lowest paid employees?

at one time, posibly both. Reagan was, after all, a high ranking union boss, but like my kitten, he opened his eyes and saw reality. I have friends, including the mayor of the city I live in, who are liberal Democrats, but they cannot debate their points with any success whatsoever....I think most of them were raised in liberal households and simply cannot believe that dad and mom would have steered them wrong. they seem to be waiting for things to get better, but are unwilling to do anything to make that happen

Someone high profile needs to make waves about its existence. The GUBMINT even! They could call it the “True Patriots” program and make these wealthy limousine liberals put their money where their mouths are.

Ronald Reagan was probably the most accomplished US president in the 20th century, aside from possibly Rosseveldt and Eisenhower.
Well one had to expect that the Bourne series would be left wing tripe since it was written by Robert Ludlam.
That hack just kept cranking out anti-US screeds disguised as spy novels. Every story was pretty much centered on how the CIA was Evil, incompetent, and nearly omnipotent. He never quite grasped by the latter two points were mutually exclusive, so the stories were all incoherent.
The quote referenced “ONLY talent,” not “a talent.” Both Damon and Reagan have/had “a talent” for acting; one had more than a single thespian talent.
He is, and always has been, free to donate his millions to any altruistic cause he chooses. This simple fact begs the question: why is he waiting for the government to mandate it? Surely it’s not due to his faith in the US government’s wisdom as to how/where best fritter it away across the globe.

No. 2. When I was younger I said something stupid like - Rich is not all it is made out to be and that money couldn’t by happiness yada, yada, yada. Then one day I found myself poor. And guess what? IT SUCKS!
***Money CAN’T buy you happiness. In fact, sometimes I think too much money causes more problems. I have been comfortable and unhappy and poor and happy. If you have enough to live... you find happiness in the small things. And you even learn to be truly GRATEFUL. Being poor...I’ve met a lot of greedy and unhappy folks.
That’s why conservatism ISN’T about “being rich”. It’s about being sensible.
