Lessons from a Milwaukee Mob
American Thinker ^ | August 8, 2011 A.D. | John F. Di Leo

On August 4, 2011, the opening night of the Wisconsin State Fair, the worst race riot in Wisconsin history occurred. As darkness fell over the amusement park area known as the Midway before closing time, hundreds of young blacks swarmed out into the parking lot, seeking out white fairgoers to attack -- pulling people off their bikes, out of their cars, to knock them to the ground and beat them: with fists and whatever blunt instruments they had handy.

Now, this wasn't the worst ever in America. The race riots of the Red Summer of 1919, for example, sometimes involved thousands of people at a time. But it is certainly something new and terrifying for the Wisconsin State Fair, which, like all state fairs, is normally a peaceful and traditional celebration of the state's agricultural heritage.

It's pure Americana with an extra helping of capitalism, as the ten-day celebration at State Fair Park injects the small suburb of West Allis with its most significant jolt of commercial activity every year. Homeowners and businesses in all directions rent out parking spaces on their lots, driveways, and yards to the overflow crowds of families who travel hundreds of miles to attend.

Good article. He ties together a number of important points. I think it's clear that black criminals and followers from their neighborhoods feel as if they have been given a green light under Obama to do whatever they want, and the fact that there seems to be little if any resistance or punishment certainly helps. As di Leo pointed out, the mobs were laughing and obviously having a grand old time while they pursued whites, with not a care in the world about consequences.

Obama found race useful to get elected, he has always had a major chip on his shoulder about it (even though it has always been to his benefit) and he latched onto the idea of himself as the Third World Avenger. We must never forget that Obama is crazy, but like a lot of crazies, he has latched onto an ideology to hang his craziness on.

These riots do reflect thuggishness and brutality in the "black community," which is no community at all, but I think they are being used by the left to destabilize the country and intimidate the opposition. This was a good reminder from the article:

But the left has spent some fifty years advocating the use of mob action -- the protest marches of the 60s, the sit-ins of the 70s, even the virtual takeovers of public buildings such as college halls a generation ago, and state capitols this very year...

I think what we're seeing is part of a strategy.

I am still amazed at how many people think that this can be turned around, that somehow blacks will have an epiphany and change their culture.

It’s too far gone. No amount of jobs promised, education given, reparations disguised as welfare/entitlements are going to stop what is happening.

People, it’s about revenge and they are very happy to bring it to you.

We should not be concerned about the flashmob where CCW defends themselves. It’s the flashmob after that we need to be prepared for.

I lived in Wisconsin once upon a time. Visited Chicago regularly. Not such a bad place. This was before 1970.

I have lived in South Carolina ever since. From here these riots could be happening on another planet. What makes S.C. so quiet? Is it the racial makeup? The state population is about one-third black, the largest congressional district is majority black. Yet around here what a white person is most likely to hear from a black person is “Have a blessed day!”.

South Carolina’s vital statistics rank consistently near the bottom of the nation’s fifty-seven states (/s) yet I feel save driving anywhere I need to.

Wait.... did I say `drive’? Oh yes, South Carolina has one of the nation’s first CCW shall-issue laws, but I’ve never felt that I needed one. Because there is also a state law that allows a handgun to be carried in one’s vehicle without a license as long as it is secured in a lockable (not locked) glovebox or console. That means that anybody driving a vehicle to anywhere other than a military reservation could, I emphasize, could, be legally armed with no CCW necessary.

I’m hitting the road this morning. My pals Wesson and Smith will be riding with me. An uneventful day but for the work I do is more than overwhelmingly likely.

Any need to wonder why? Stay safe, y’all.

;^)

It is going to take a Bernhard Goetz moment before the national media will even begin taking this stuff seriously. And if these black flash mob attacks keep up, there is one coming, it is only a matter of time.

I’ve had a CCW license for a long time, but I have really stepped up my game on everyday carry (EDC) in the last 6 months.

I guess all the years of talk about sensitivity, brotherhood, lets all get along etc are a big waste.

If any Republican senators are thrown out in today’s recall elections it will show too many people still are not serious about this nonsense or they don’t care. If they end up giving more power to the party that helped create the conditions that empower these animals to assault and kill white folks just for the fun of it, then the people voting Democrat are part of the problem. They will get what they deserve. Unfortunately the rest of us must suffer along with them.

I don’t think there’s been a word about this WI case in the national media. Just imagine though if 100s of white skinheads attacked blacks or other minorities in the same way. It would be a bigger crisis than the economy. There would be screams for army to be called out, commissions to stop the hate, etc etc.

“Even firing a warning shot would scatter them like roaches when a light is turned on.”

Warning shots are generally BS unless fired into center mass of the nearest goblin. Then it’s a warning for the rest of them.

There was a comment on an Afghanistan thread:
Its a mistake to think you can adjudicate war. If war can be managed by attorneys with brief cases, with suits and ties, serving subpoenas and fashioning brilliant arguments before judges behind mahogany benches, you are not yet at war.War is by its very nature an extra-legal enterprise, it is the state of affairs that exists when lawyers and policemen and judges are no longer able to manage a confrontation. At that point, the men in suits take a recess, and the men with guns go in to kill the men who couldn’t be reasoned with, them and anyone standing near them, you wipe out their leadership and everything of value that can be used to keep them alive, you wipe out whole towns if necessary, whole armies, and when you have completely re-drawn the map and created a new status quo to replace the old toxic one, only then do you let the men in suits with the briefcases resume control.War is the parenthesis that occupies the space between the failure of the old status quo and the birth of the new one. When rule-of-law resumes, when a new circumstance has emerged that permits the resumption of rule-of-law, the war is over

I didn't write this. Wish I remembered which FReeper wrote it so I could give credit, but it is very fitting

I wonder if it may eventually have applicability in the US.

They are "my people" as that (insert your own adjective) AG Holder has said. And it will get worse.

More to the point, any locality that fails to vigorously prosecute self-defense instances can expect Holder's DOJ investigators to show up the next day, threatening the Chief or Sheriff with civil rights prosecution.

“expect Holder’s DOJ investigators to show up the next day”

They can be run out of town like any other gang of thugs.

“Why hasn’t this made major national news???”

Are you kidding? Now if it had been a white mob attacking blacks, the media would be all over it. Even FoxNews is ignoring this.

Exactly. The people in that mob could have been given a million dollars a year, tax free, and they still would have done this.

You’re all so right - I had a lapse from reality there for a minute! :-)

Sometimes I’m still just in shock about how really bad things are with the country as well as the evil of BHO (et al) and deceitful, anti-journalist media.

Contrary to the traditional liberal assumption that mobs turn violent out of anger and poverty, numerous reports indicated the maniacal grins, the ferocious smiles, the sheer happiness of the attackers. They were joyful, not angry; this was fun for them. These thugs engaged in horrific unprovoked violence against innocent, unarmed, unsuspecting bystanders, just because they got a kick out of doing so.

In short - sociopaths...
