Immigration advocates in Texas were heartened last year when the Republican governor, Rick Perry, flatly stated that Arizona's crackdown on illegal immigrants "would not be the right direction for Texas."

We’re in trouble when enforcing immigration laws become a political issue. It should be a black an white issue that all Americans would support.

I disagree that enforcing immigration laws is inherently a right wing issue.

True, true. Open borders cause headaches for all citizens -- no political boundaries exist. The only difference is that the preponderance of politicians willing to sell out the country to illegal immigrants for political gain arguably reside in the left wing. That's not to say we don't have a number of our own to call out to the woodshed, however.

Big media compulsively sorts each and every issue into one of two boxes - left or right. Then they write heart wrenching column decrying and wondering why we are so divided.

Throw off the Big media nutritive, think for ourselves, and we will find we are much closer than it seems.

Yup, nobody got a grade A. Bachmann and Cain are your candidate if you're issue is purely Illegal Aliens. They were graded B and C.

Palin and Perry were graded D on their Illegal Immigration stance.

If there were such a thing as a perfect AAA+ grade candidate, why the need for a Congress? Why have a House or Senate if it's possible to find the perfect candidate.

I know one thing, with Obama there's no need to worry about winning the Senate and there's no need to increase our majority in the House. Obama By-passes both. Look at Libya (for just one of many examples.

The real question is:

Are you willing to throw the baby (our political system) out with the bath water (the imperfect GOP Candidate)?

If you think Obama was elected because Republicans had some differences over immigration, you need to buy lots of clues.

Perry was for the Texas DREAM Act, anti-fence and spoke in opposition to Arizona SB1070 when he was running for governor and courting the Hispanic vote. Now, he's moving to the right because he wants the GOP nomination.

Sounds like a former GOP governor who is also in his sixties and has a great head of hair.

“....and admit Islam is NOT the “religion of peace”, and that Sharia law is evil.”

.
Sheesh, where do you find such a critter among American politicians?

This society has shown that it doesn’t mind living with a cancer even if it kills in the end.

It is human nature to kick the can down the road even if the road leads to death.

Unfortunately, you’re probably true. Just like Bush 43, Perry is a “compassionate conservative” with the the desire to legalize illegals and ties with business interests that support cheap labor.

Put Herman Cain at the bottom-right and I’ll join ya...

Can't do it, bad "strategery"! :)

Cain needs to be Palin's Secretary of Commerce.

We have hypnotized ourselves with the ideas that “we are a country of immigrants” and “our strength is in our diversity” BS.

Our self-hypnosis will lead us into a coma and ultimate death.

I have too many questions of both Palin and Perry on immigration. Perry moreso than Palin. Cain, OTOH, looks pretty strong on immigration. I want him where he can have great influence, both on that issue and jobs.
