If there was any question that next month's special election in New York's 9th congressional district will be a referendum on President Barack Obama's policies, yesterday's New York Times endorsement removes all doubt. Not surprisingly, the left-leaning paper's editorial board has chosen to support Democrat David Weprin in the September 13 contest to replace disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner. But the reasons given for that support have little to do with the candidate's qualifications and everything to do with the Obama agenda.

Could this race be won by anyone other than a Democrat? Is it a cliff hanger? Or pretty much in the bag for Obama. ???
“New York’s 9th congressional district will be a referendum on President Barack Obama’s policies”
This is to funny. This is a heavily dimoKKKRAT district and the odds of a Repubican winning are very slim. By the way Slim left town.
I am sure they would like to MAKE it seem like a referendum on Obama- because after the democrap wins they can say ‘SeeeEEeeeeEEE???” (with their smarmiest libtard rachel maddow SMIRK)
But this is a safe democrap seat. If the Dem wins, eh...
It ONLY counts as a referendumb on Obama if the dem loses- now THAT would be huge
Weprin was only up by 6 in the last poll (weeks ago) which is way closer than expected. Oddly, there hasn’t been a new public poll since which is odd with as much national interest as there is in this race.
I'm not saying Turner will definitely win, but it's going to be way closer than many people think.
We can't even win GOP districts in special elections!
Did the orthodox NYC Dem councilman..Dove ?....endorse..he was threatening to endorse the GOP guy..

The above article from the Jerusalem Post indicated the non-Jewish Republican candidates were highly favored to win because the 40 person Jewish Democratic Congressmen had uniformly backed Obama. Obama is widely seen as anti-Israeli. Apparently Col. Allan West is from a predominantly Jewish district. All the top Jewish non-Congressional Democrats, mayors, etc. had endorsed the Republican.
Dov Hikind has yet to endorse Turner but he has kept his promise not to endorse Weprin.
BTW..nice job following this..
He might be holding off until then so his announcement could have maximum impact. Given the bad blood between him and Weprin, he just may be looking to achieve maximum impact.
And thanks. :)
No doubt you'll try to give us a sentence about that before
trying to send decent FReepers to your blog, as per usual.
Tell me, what interests have you other than pimping for blog hits?
