When can we expect that? [Let's see, I think that's scheduled for next Wednes--no, Thurs--well, I think Boehner's giving him 15 minutes during halftime of the football game.]
I believe Obama will do the halftime show at the football game. You've heard of "Up With People?" This will be "Down With Capitalism."

But that has the DUmmies in a tizzy, of course. They had such high expectations . . . now dashed to smithereens. The disappointment and the anger are palpableIt sure seems like this is the 'new normal' over at DU--the DUmmies pouting and whining about Obama letting them down. Awwwww...
BTW, Reich is even shorter in person than on the tube. Yet another one I've seen in Cambridge.

I thought those critical of The One were being kicked off Skinner’s Island. Looks like the inmates have taken over the asylum.

What if they refuse to let him speak to a joint session? He's already had his joint session, thankyouverymuch.
Anyone watching him will need a joint session!

I do not necessarily agree with tax breaks as an incentive for hiring. I think tax increases are a better incentive. BRILLIANT!!!!! why didn't someone else think of this before? Higher costs will translate into more expensive employees and higher prices at the check out. What could go wrong.
Actually, I call LOUSY FREEPER TROLL on this one. It just comes across to me as mockery, not seriousness.

I thought those critical of The One were being kicked off Skinners Island. Looks like the inmates have taken over the asylum. There are too many of them! Skins can't control them. They do try to not go over the top (by DUmmieland standards), so as not to get the tombstone. But many--like DUmmie kentuck, the OP for this thread--moan and groan about Obama the centrist. The best the Obama defenders can do is say "Well, it hasn't been a TOTAL disaster. He's done SOME good things. And think if a rethug gets in! Theocracy! Craziness! Death camps!"

Yikes! Someone's butt is as big as Alabama. And it's Mobile, too.

I’m thinking Senator Grassley would be the chairman of a joint session.

No no no! That line was written in all seriesness by the OP, DUmmie kentuck, who is one of the biggest longtime libs they have. I suppose he could be a deeply embedded mole, but then it's an awfully good act!
Remember, these people are all about raising taxes on the rich.

They actually believe that higher taxes will mean the business owner will try to lower his income by hiring more people--thus lowering his taxes.
It makes my head hurt.

[First in debt, first in peas, first in the regrets of the American people.] Nice take on the old Washington Senators team slogan!
Which in turn was a take on what was said about George Washington himself:
President Washington: First in war, first in peace, first in the hearts of the American people.
The Washington Senators: First in war, first in peace, last in the American League.
