Just sharing some new work I've been doing. I've had more time lately and have been finishing quite a bit. Hope you enjoy it. michaellekites

Also, if you like art, check out the Pennsylvania Daily Painters blog. Lots of good artists from PA on there! Here's that link: PApainters

Good stuff again.

Have you ever done fantasy cartography, like what you might see in the cover of a fantasy book? I need a map done for that exact purpose and am willing to pay if the style is right.

I actually hired Thomas Manning to do the work once. He had done cartography for E.E. Knight. Then he died prior to completing my project. Very sudden and very sad for his family and friends. Now I’ve got my writing fire back and am ready to start querying my novel for real. I think a halfway decent map will be a nice touch while querying...

nice work Mike... I also live in PA. and have a son who, also lives in PA. and is an artist..he is a medical illustrator and works around the clock... but in his youth he did landscapes, portriats, and even self portraits...you guys just amaze me to no end. your hands create what your eyes alone see..you are great.. p.s. mothers love their sons unconditionally♥

Doing a map sounds like fun. I might be interested. I’ve never done anything like that before, but it should be fairly easy. Send me a message with more details. Thanks.

Thanks for the nice comments! Your son should get back into it. If he’s doing medical illustration, he must be pretty good. I thought about doing that too at one time. Wasn’t sure of they still had artists doing that since our advances in digital. That’s good to hear! Again, thanks!

he free lances for several publishers and works full time for a medical company...he does almost all his work on computer, but to relax he does oils...

lol..he has had a pen, pencil, crayon or paint brush in his hands since he was two years old...soon will turn 40..hard for this mom to realize!!

good luck in your future.
hugs from this Pennsylvania mom
