Kristol is just trying to bolster the case Chris Chistie. Kristol probably finds Perry too conservative (except for his weak position on securing the border, which I'm sure appeals to Kristol) and he may have reservations about Romney's ability to win vs Obama for a variety of reasons (Mormon, rich, RomneyCare). Kristol may think Christie is the best choice because he is a moderate on many social issues (aka RINO), but has appeal to middle/working class voters because of his own middle origins and tough guy image.

I would remind Mr. Kristol that Christie has to lose about 100 pounds before he thinks about running for POTUS.

Kristol bugs me sometimes. But, maybe he is hoping for someone else to get in the race.

No Krisol. They like his position on healthcare and his 999 plan.

” Herman Cain is conservative, the best conservative that can win “

I’ve like him ever since I heard him interviewed on Michael Savage’s show some weeks back . To be honest , for various and sundry reasons I didn’t think he had much of a chance , but it would appear that I was wrong . I hope Palin stays OUT of the race now and works to help get Herman the nomination .

Yep! It really looks like people are engaged, deeply engaged, this go around. Simply having an R by your name isn’t going to cut it, and that is just fantastic!

This is why I am not concerned about Chris Christie getting in the race or not. If he does, he won’t be fooling anyone IMO.

Not only don’t Liberals get it that this country is fed up with their policies, the Republicans don’t get it that we want a real conservative. Just watch the explanations on the Sunday morning talk shows. Not one of them will admit that the people want a conservative.They will be saying, “Move along, nothing to be seen here.” They are in for a big surprise. Let’s start the Cain mutiny against the Republican establishment!

Odd that Billy K thinks it’s too late for Palin but not too late for Christie....

“Has Bill Kristol been right about anything in the last 10 years?”

Bill Kristol is the front runner to break the Dick Morris record of most consistently wrong prognostications.

Perry = RINO Shamnesty
Mittens = RINO Socialism

Yup, none of the above EXCEPT Cain who isn't kowtowing to RINO fools.

I'll bet Ricky Perry is rethinking his enthusiasm for illegal immigration and the Mittster is regretting his enthusiasm for socialized medicine.

Can't speak for Mitt, but I think Perry is regretting his "no heart".

For "in-state tuition", it's different here in Texas. The rest of the country is worrying about the jobs they are taking, in Texas, we have a war on our border and a mass of refugees we are left to deal with on our own.

It passed twice in Texas with overwhelming support because the only option our fellow Americans have left us is to educate them and turn them into tax payers. It sucks, we know it but until the country realizes what we are dealing with on our borders and gets off their asses to help us then we are left to do it on our own.

personally, I don't know that Gov. Goodhair is best for the country, but "in-state tuition" is not the issue. There is a civil war on our border and those people pouring across our border are running for their lives. They are coming here because they are being murdered in mass, not to get a $151 discount at our Jr. Colleges.

If what was happening on our border was happening anywhere else in the world the UN would be here setting up refugee camps. Instead, our government sues us for trying to do anything and Hillary goes and tells the UN on us.

As for the fence, there is a big ass river and several lakes that runs the border of Texas and Mexico that Texans make their livings off of, we can not fence the Texas Mexico border without giving Mexico US Territorial Waters. Anyone who thinks a fence across our border is the answer is either never looked a a map or is an idiot.

I like Cain and he is the only one with a plan to get rid of the current tax system and make everyone pay their fair share. It makes sense to me that he would win. I would vote for gladly, but I would vote for anyone but zero.

[Still, with all due respect to Cain, to some degree voting for him is voting for none of the above.]

FUBK!
