Chris Christie Slams Obama During Speech at Reagan Library
hotairpundit ^ | 9/27/11 | christie

This might have been the best part of the speech. Christie quotes Obama's 'not a liberal America or a conservative America' speech in 2004 at the DNC Convention and throws it back at him. "7 years later President Obama prepares to divide our nation to achieve reelection." This is tonight at the Reagan library. (Video)

Stop playing the hostile tabloid MSM game of “Who is number one?” The Media loves it when they flit from one story to the next, journaling on politics as if it were some sort of sports event. They are stuck with a 24/7 system and they gotta keep their ratings up. Their goals are not our goals.

The primaries are about IDEAS, as there will be plenty of time to pick and choose later!” It is incumbent upon us to observe, discuss and above all think DURING THE PRIMARIES.

Listen to one of Chris’ ideas: “- - - President Obama prepares to divide our nation to achieve reelection.” I try to keep up, so maybe I missed it, but this seems to be an idea that NONE of the candidates have brought forth. This idea could change the tactics of the other candidates. The more brainpower brought to a problem the better! What say all of you?

This is what primaries are all about: IDEAS, not some PMSNBC flash story so they can charge more for their ads. Glean the facts from the media, but avoid their hostile activity traps.

1. Greed
2. Envy
3. Fear

These are all obastard has in his quiver. Same thin Christie has said.

That's fine. Christie has a DEM legislature--in NEW JERSEY---and beat the teacher's union, balanced the budget, and reformed public sector pensions, all without raising taxes. Now how was he supposed to do that with a DEM legislature?

Keep your mentality, and enjoy life on the outside looking in, like where the national GOP is today. And enjoy the movie. Classic George Kennedy, and a fine drunken Walter Mathau. Oh yeah, and Victoria Principal with an afro!

Enjoy the film, and maybe, one day, adults will once again lead this nation. Or else we can all sink further into pathetic mediocrity.

I could definitely support Christie.

His positions on guns and some of the social issues mean many conservatives will attempt to smear and destroy him both personally and politically though.

My guess is he realizes this and will stay right where he is rather than go through all the crap associated with being a Presidential candidate.

I like Christie, but glad he is remaining the Governor of New Jersey. He is doing a good job there and needs to finish a lot more.

I really do like Herman Cain. Rush called him an unabashed Conservative today. The media is trying to make light of the Presidency 5 Straw Poll, but it really did have weight the way it was run. It really was a BIG WIN for Herman Cain. Another tidbit. When the candidates were having various meet and greets, Herman Cain was to have his in a room for about 100. The room had to be changed, as over 600 showed up. Herman Cain spoke without a teleprompter and with no notes. Straight from the heart and brain.

He is obviously much more capable than any GOP candidate. The national GOP is a disgrace. It's obvious to anyone with eyes wide open. The DEMs are what they are, but take a good look at our GOP candidates, and you can see how Obama got elected. Christie is a rookie, in his first term, and he demonstrates competence far beyond any GOP candidate.

I love his point about American exceptionalism—that talk is cheap, it must be earned. It’s SO important. The one thing I liked about Trump was when he said we’re NOT great. We have the potential to be great, but right now we’re not. He was right. I welcome that tough talk. Christie is basically saying the same thing. You think we’re exceptional? Prove it.

Here’s a functional link to the video -

By the way, why do you have this posted as an excerpt? I couldn’t find any more original text at your blog.

“Excerpt” means there’s something more to read. Presumably some kind of commentary, that would justify going to your blog site.

So where is it?

(By the way, I sent this as a PM as well. OOOPS! My goof for today!)

Herman Cain reminds me of Clarence Thomas. And El Rushbo praises both of them for the same attributes, especially their Constitutional/Conservative principles.
Will someone of the caliber of either of these two Great Americans please step forward and SAVE OUR COUNTRY?
I’m sick of wishy washy...sick of political correctness, cautious campaigning, being afraid to offend or lose votes...
We need a strong, fearless, hard hitting leader to take down the One and put a fork in’im.
That’s why listening to Christie tonight was so rewarding. I don’t care about any of his supposedly Rino stances on anything!(and that phrase is becoming tiresome as well).
I would vote for this man in a heartbeat if he ran(second only to Herman).

That’s what I was thinking too, CodeToad. Not only was Nancy hearing all the wonderful things he said about her husband but I believe the Gipper heard it too and loved it.

Christie is incredibly quick on his verbal feet. And tonite he was very Reaganesque. Got standing ovation at the end of his speech. He won’t run this time, more than likely, but keep an eye on him for 2016 or even 2020. I believe he will slowly take the weight off for the next few years so that he can be in fighting trim for a 2016 or later run. A man to watch for the future. So glad he is around, especially as one never knows which way the winds will blow, and if we end up with another Dem as Prez in our future, there will be Chris Christie to go up against him/her and be our standard bearer. Christie will only improve with age.

Today I thought I tuned into PBS where David Axelrod claimed:

1. U.S. Govt created Internet and Google
2. Obummer has created lots of jobs and deserves to be re- elected in 2012.

I think my remote is screwed up coz this is the Cartoon Network.

Evening my friend, I must comment on your statement:

Frankly, the speech strikes me as extremely RINOish.

Yes, he criticizes Obama for failing to lead. But he doesn't say anything much about why his policies are wrong.

IMHO, he, with this choice of words, undoubtedly realized that most intellects need no reiteration why his policies are wrong.

Quite simply put, Obumba is just not USA material. And as far as is birth certificate is concerned, I don't think he has one,,, anything else relevant would be considered "a lab report".

You take good care my friend.

SEMPER FI!!!!

IN LIBERTY!!!!.

"....enjoy life on the outside looking in. Enjoy the film, and maybe one day adults will once again lead this nation."

I enjoyed your sarcasm in defense of Christie because I know how off-base you are.

I like Christie, but he's NOT conservative as this forum's credo defines it.

I DID watch a movie after listening to the governor for an acceptable time....although my antenna went up right off the bat when he started repeating the word "compromise" over and over and over again. It seems to me I've heard this song before...it's from an old familiar score (McCain).

But in spite of all the "Christie for President" gushings on this thread, my post above stands despite your superior dismissal of my comment.

However, I'm in good company. At this very moment Rush is analyzing Christie's speech of the century, and Rush is NOT impressed.

He stated "a red flag went up" upon fully analyzing the speech early this morning.

He caught what I caught, that Christie is being promoted by the GOP establishment and the mediacrats who have been desperately looking for "a counter to the real conservatives running in the Republican primary".

Rush said he "heard John McCain in the speech". So did I.

Rush promised he will add further analysis further on in the show.

Since Christie is the soup de jour right now, I expected attacks and sarcasm after I posted. Rush will probably receive these feedbacks, also....but I doubt he cares. Neither do I.

Ping to # 38. Rush is on right now....playing clips and really pointing out the strange things in Christie's speech. I think one has to read a written transcript of the speech without stardust in one's eyes to catch the RINO subleties embedded in the rather glorious rhetoric.
