As I rode my horse, Little, around Rancho del Cielo during the spring of 1975, I thought a lot about the lost vision of our founding fathers and the importance of recapturing it and the voices from around the country who were pressing me to run for president. And I remembered something Id said many years before: A candidate doesnt make the decision whether to run for president; the people make it for him.
An American Life by Ronald Reagan

The people have said, thanks, but NO. So has Sarah. It’s just too much of a “shackle”, or did Reagan say that?
There are plenty of people saying yes ( I’m one). Watch her speech in Iowa on Labor Day and listen to the crowd.
Thank you so much for reading my post and taking the trouble to answer. I appreciate this. I would like to point out that I am a person and I have not said “No”to Sarah, nor has she yet stated that she has decided not to run.
I understand you like Perry and God Bless America to that, but I prefer to wait till the official “No” before looking for a candidate I really like. Not to thrilled about Perry’s record. I know people said he “created jobs,” but I am a conservative and I know that the only way government makes jobs is by getting out of the way, hardly proof of genius or strength.
I know we all want the best for the country and that we will pull together for Obama, but I’m still hoping for Sarah. Her record in Alaska is really worth a close look.
Thank you and wish you the very best!

Thank you so much!
“I know we all want the best for the country and that we will pull together for Obama,...”
Um...I just thought that you deserve a chance to correct your misstatement before you go down in FR history with the moose who bit my sister.
LOL,
Count me as another one in your corner of the room.
Thanks Jeanette. I re-posted this to Sarah’s Facebook page.
Excellent post Jeanette !!!
Thank you for taking it upon yourself to decide what "the people" should think. Perhaps you should be a Democrat.
IF Palin gets into the race, people will get to vote one way or another. If she doesn't, then it's a moot point, now isn't it?
The photo says it all :-)
Scratch a blogger, find an Obama supporter.
Truth will out.
