Real unemployment approaches 25-percent

The Obama administration released the unemployment figures again today and magically the unemployment rate remained at 9.1-percent, despite only adding 103,000 jobs, and loosing over 400,000 jobs yet again. The internals of the numbers paint an even worse picture; 45,000 of the jobs added were striking union members from Verizon finally returning to work, thus making the real jobs added a paltry 58,000.

With the economy routinely loosing far more jobs than it adds, you have to ask how the unemployment number can remain stable at 9.1-percent?

The Verizon workers returned to work in AUGUST, not September, so this number is also BOGUS.

It is all a lie, but the numbers do not lie.

When Bush was president, the liberals, Democrats, and MSM anguished over unemployment rates between 5 and 6%.

Since Obama has been president, the liberals, Democrats, and MSM have de-emphasized the unemployment rate as a measure of the job market. Instead, they talk about “jobs saved”, “jobs created”, and “jobs related to the stimulus”.

And isn’t it interesting that these new criteria can’t really be specifically measured? How do you track “jobs saved” in the economy? Saved how? Saved because of what? Because Joe Biden says so?

“Jobs created” can perhaps be measured, but, realistically should be offset against jobs lost. Are they doing that when they brag about how many jobs were created????

And with “jobs related to the stimulus”, why are we supposed to be excited about that, when Porkulus failed to keep unemployment below 8%, per the goal set by this administration????? Is that why this administration doesn’t want to talk about the unemployment rate anymore????

We are SO fortunate our Great Leader had the wisdom and foresight to pass Porkulus else by now unemployment almost surely would have exceeded 50%.

“...loosing over 400,000...”

You do realize the error there, don’t you? It’s “losing.” Check the dictionary to understand the difference between “lose” and “loose.” They’re not even similar.

I've been really confused by that.

On Thursday, I heard that the unemployment numbers would NOT be good for Obama. Sources indicated that the monthly figures would show only a meager addition of perhaps 56,000 jobs. Very bad.

Then the number came out -- and it defied all expectations! Whoop! Whoop! A massive increase of 103,000 jobs!!!

And 45,000 of them were Verizon workers who already had jobs but who just hadn't been showing up very regularly.

Seems to me that this whole thing is a total Big Lie.

Sorry, Toddie, not knowing the difference between “lose” and “loose”, disqualifies the rest of what you have to say right off the bat!
