Perry Lags, Cain Rises in New Hampshire Polls

Mitt Romney remains the unquestioned frontrunner in New Hampshire, according to a pair of recent polls, but Atlanta businessman Herman Cain appears to be gaining ground as his top challenger.

Mr. Romney, a part-time New Hampshire resident and the former governor of neighboring Massachusetts, retains a commanding perch as the favorite candidate of many Granite State Republicans, with support from 38% of likely primary voters, according to a poll conducted earlier this month by Harvard University and St. Anselm College.

Mr. Cain finished second, with 20%, a finding in line with national polls that show his candidacy gaining steam.

A survey done by WMUR and the University of New Hampshire also put Mr. Cain in second place, with 12%, behind Mr. Romney’s 37%.

If he botches the next one, well hang on a second. That's a leading question and I fear that you're an attorney.

But I will answer you like this. If he performs "well" at the next debate, I think you Cain supporters should come on home to Perry. Where you should'a been all along.

Perry is a terrible debater. He has always been a terrible debater. He has gotten worse over the first three. Yet the Perrypals expect him to magically give the performance of his life.

You know he will. Only it will be the Perrypals minds. Tomorrow night Free Republic is going to look like a rerun of Family Feud where all his toothless supporters jump up and down and clap while posting "Good answer, good answer".

Have you been watching ABC News and their stories on obesity? Have you?

People like pizza and hamburgers. That's just how it is. This gives Cain at least 50% of the vote. Why people can't see this is beyond me.

Yes the Perry supporters are serious, but wait until the Paul supporters show up they put even out do the Perry people. Though it’s getting a lot closer than it use to be.

A lot of these "Perry Supporters" - I suspect - ARE Paul supporters. They are trying their best to stir things up.

“I’m serious that a vote for Cain virtually seals the nomination for Romney.”

You are delusional. Cain is the only person within striking distance of Romney.

Perry would help by dropping out of the race. He is down to 4% in this poll. And these folks will probably be barred from voting because they are likely undocumented mexicans looking for subsidized college tuition.

How does a vote for Cain, the only serious challenger guarantee the nomination for Romney? Seems to me voting for 2nd tier candidates like Perry does that.

Because Cain will run out of money and falter. By then, Perry will be shoved back enough to let Romney win it all. Then Cain is named the VP choice for Slick Mittens.

Be watchin' for it. Buncha goofballs on here gonna hate theirself in the end. But I do have a AR-10 I'll sell you before the ban comes down. Yes?

Only a Perrywinkle would suspect I chase ambulances. You have more conspiracy theories than Ron Paul fanatics. Stick with Tricky Rick. You deserve each other.

If Herman Cain crashes and burns in the next debate what will you do? Will you throw in the towel? I hope not. We need someone that can beat Romney.

99% of Perry haters hated Perry before Perry entered the race. They already had someone in mind and his Goliath entry rattled their bird cages.

Rick Perry has consistently performed poorly in debates. Herman Cain has done very well in each of the debates. Everyone can have a bad day or a misspoken thought. Patterns are what matter.

Viewing Herman Cain return Lawrence O'Donnell's cunning contrivances, seeing Mr. Cain deconstruct Mr. Obama-Soetero will be killer.
