It’s The Policies Stupid!
The Silent Majority ^ | 10-11-11 | Southernman

As the calender slowly ticks towards November 2012 candidates are emerging and campaigns are beginning to define themselves. The overriding theme developing on the Democratic side of the aisle seems to be one where racism and class warfare take precedence over substantive policy discussions.

The reason for such an emphasis seems to have its roots in the fact that Democrats understand that the nation has seen its policies and found them lacking. Unemployment is high and shows no signs of improving. The housing market is a wasteland and the stock market is, to say the least, volatile. Foreign policy seems to defy logic and the country is foundering in the morass of incompetent leadership.

Democrats have elected to abandon their record and run on class warfare, race baiting and demagoguery. “Eat the rich”, “Kill the corporations”, and “the tea party wants to hang black folks” are the new rallying cries of the Democratic Party.

Really, who can blame them. With an abysmal economy, foreign policy that borders on malfeasance, and scandals like Solyndra and Fast and Furious who wouldn’t run screaming into the arms of the nearest demagogue.

Occupy Wall Street not withstanding, a majority of Americans see the Democratic strategy for what it is. Most Americans understand that it is not the rich who have savaged the economy and that Wal-Mart is not the antichrist. Most Americans understand that under the stewardship of the Democrats things have gone from bad to worse and are trending towards disastrous.
