Natural born is someone who is not a naturalized US citizen.
Which basically means you have to be born here or born to parents who were abroad on official government duty such as soldiers and diplomats. I don’t think children born here to illegal immigrants qualify as natural born. However kids born on US soil to legal immigrants are natural born.
Natural born is one of the most misunderstood concepts in the Constitution. Natural born is a concept that the Founding Fathers borrowed from the British concept of natural law, which stems from an Aristotelian philosophy of natural human rights.
Essentially, what was intended under the 14th Amendment by the “natural born” term was that citizenship would primarily extend from the father to the child. The father’s citizenship status accounted for 2/3ds of the child’s citizenship status with the remaining 1/3 coming from the citizenship of the mother.
Based on that criteria, Obama has NEVER been eligible to be POTUS because his father was Kenyan and his mother American. Applying the natural born requirement, Obama is, at best, 1/3 American. However, due to his having been adopted by an Indonesian and, assuming that all rights and privileges of Indonesian citizenship were were granted to him as the result of that adoption, at this point, his citizenship in America is very much in doubt.
Which takes us back to his eligibility to be POTUS. He was NEVER eligible to be POTUS and the certification of his eligibility by Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi consitute fraud, malfeasance and treason.
Contrary to popular belief, simply being born on US soil does NOT make one a citizen of the United States when the “natural born” clause is properly applied. The misinterpretation of the natural born clause has been intentionally misapplied for decades by both politicians and courts as a means of creating a permanent class of voters via a tacit quid pro quo arrangement.
By all means available, Obama fails the most fundamental requirement for eligibility to be president. He is not a citizen and never was!
kids born on US soil to naturalized citizens or illegals is NATIVE born, not natural born.
Where can one find the official definition of natural born citizen? I have already seen enough variations. Is there a statute passed by congress and signed by the president? Has SCOTUS ever ruled on this subject? To my knowledge neither, but I could be wrong.
