i see the arrow in the fed ex logo and i see the gorilla and the cougar in the zoo... i miss the naked mermaid their, and i do not see the skull in the hershey kisses, and in the tostitos, i do see the chip and salsa, but can not make out the naked breast.

I found these at another design blog (except for “1” obviously, that’s me).
In this case there are, in fact, hidden images and your quote from Freud absolutely doesn’t apply.
Like I mentioned, the secret is in the name of the picture file, but if you’re interested in checking I’ll give away one here to prove it....the pink parts of the “BR” for Baskin Robbins make a “31”...as in the number of flavors they serve.

Yes, I noticed the “31” in the Baskin Robbins logo, and having studied marketing independently (I was an art major at university) and found it to be a clever use of design and messaging.
However I do not search for hidden images and don’t think there is much of any nefarious purpose behind it. I’ve created a couple of logos myself and have been surprised when a hidden image was found in one, as it wasn’t much of an image, certainly wasn’t intentional, and really depended on the viewer’s imagination.
The hidden image in a logo is much like a pun - you have to conciously notice it. As for me, I tend to notice but don’t see anything particularly interesting about hidden images.

The white area between the K and the I is shaped like a chocolate kiss.
