Newt, please move to another state and become Herman’s VP. Which would be a better debate to watch: Herman vs Obama or Newt vs Biden?
I saw that, and it made me start to wonder what is going on.
But, even Freepers have been saying for a while they would make a good ticket.
“Cahoots” is a negative term, as if they were involved in some evil plan. I don’t see anything evil here, just two candidates taking a non-traditional approach.
It will be interesting to see how it works out.
Newt apparently has resided in VA for a number of years.
They’re being in “cahoots” is not evil, it is a great thing. I think they would make a formidable ticket.
The establishment Republicans would be very happy with Newt. Anybody that can make ads sitting on a couch with Pelosi can work with them too.
Y’know, maybe this is a move to shore up each other’s weaknesses. They did all but declare at the Texas debate that they would be a ticket (just arguing over who would be on the top).
What’s Newt’s biggest weakness? He’s considered a Washington insider that has lost touch with the grass roots. Now Tea Partiers can vote for Newt without any concerns, because he’ll have the ultimate Tea Partier (Cain) along side him to keep him in touch with the grass roots.
What’s Cain’s biggest problem? He’s an outsider without experience. Now people worried about Cain’s experience can vote for him without worry, because he’ll have the most experienced and knowlegable Washington insider along with him to help him on those points.
By teaming up this early, they are both clearing the biggest objection people have had for voting for either of them.
Sorry, when I see the work “cahoots” it reminds me of an old western. “Marshall Dillon, Dingo and the Cisco Kid are in cahoots to rob the bank”.
“The establishment Republicans would be very happy with Newt. Anybody that can make ads sitting on a couch with Pelosi can work with them too.”
If they could snap their fingers and make him president, yes. But they wouldn’t be happy with him as the Republican nominee because he likely wouldn’t win.
