Vanity - My advise to Herman Cain
Vanity | November 8, 2011 | Self

Every morning call a news conference. Make the assembled reporters sit through a forty five minute campaign speech. If you run out of material repeat parts from

Then sit there and answer every question until the run out. Deny everything. Put edited highlights on your web site. Make the reporters look as stupid as possible. That is the easy part.

In short, make a mockery of this travesty that is going on. Make the press the laughing stock of the country.

The answer is as you say, delay the part they are really there for. When it does come time to give them the fodder, give them the old Democrat standard: “This is old news, Herman has to get back to the business of doing the people’ business. There is no ‘there’ there, folks. Then leave.

"Make the assembled reporters sit through a forty five minute campaign speech"

AFTER appearing 45 minutes late for the Press Conference, and tell them you were playing golf.

Say he did that yesterday. Today CNN reports the anonymous friend of the anonymous accuser story. So he addresses that and postpones getting back to his message tomorrow?

This is bonfire of the vanities. He can’t just respond. He has to be proactive.

This is Cain's great opportunity to show how creatively he can handle a crisis.

First, he needs to have his staff create a beautiful and compelling video in which women and men who know him testify to his character and how he would never do such things he is being accused of.

Second, he to find the best polygraph expert in the world and challenge those women to put up or shut up (he needs to take the polygraph also).

Third, he needs to hire a mean snake of a lawyer and threaten to sue every accusing woman of defamation of character.

Fourth, he needs to let it be known that he has hired a team of investigators to determine who is urging these women to make these false accusations...and the investigators will be given instructions to follow their leads all the way to the White House if that's where they lead.

Lastly, he needs to set up a fund to which his supporters can contribute to cover the costs of this effort directly (and he needs to pre-sell the book rights for the entire story to help fund the effort and find a great author to write it).

His presser in 10 minutes....should be a barnburner.

If they don’t report it he can point out the next day that they ignored substantive issues he raised and instead concentrated on the latest salacious accusation. This makes THEM look like the loonies.

I see your point, but let's say he does the above--then what? America cries out against the liberal media, and they just start behaving?

What you say above will get two seconds' coverage in the MSM which, deny it all we want, is still what carries to most voters. He can complain all he wants that "I'm talking substance" and what's going to happen, the MSM will carry that every night? No. They'll paint him as 'avoiding, once again, answering questions about' whoever.

There’s probably nothing he can do. This story has already been written and Big Media will not quit until they can print:

Beleaguered Republican Herman Cain announced today that he was withdrawing from the race for the Republican Presidential nomination.

Good luck in trying to dictate to Herman Cain and the LMSM.

IMO neither of them will listen to your suggestions.

If Cain cannot deflect the charges, then he will falter.

Today he said all that needed to be said in my mind.

He has other people beginning to do his speaking on this smear for him. The candidate has said it didn’t happen. Time to get back on message.
