I do too. I find it interesting that the press and Washington DC elites are focusing on Cain’s accusers and now Perry’s senior moment.

Basically, anything that will distract the American public from the important matters facing our country, i.e., our economy, the attempted overpowering of our Constitution by a soft tyranny, and our questionable attorney general and campaign contributions/green stimulus & bailouts.

The sad part about this, is his answer was the only one that our local news bothered to show. They ignored the rest, including Cain's answer that brought the house down near the end.

I'm with Greta on this. No Perry supporter I, but it is rather shallow and telling about our infatuation with sound-bites and our fleasized attention spans.

"The problem is if he can’t remember which 3 agencies he wants to axe, does he even know why he wants to get rid of them? If he really knew which programs he wants to shut down, he should have been able to think about the results, and then name or at least describe the agency."

Exactly.

You really have to be a low piece of crap to bring up Stockdale and revisit that humiliation. Or trumandogz.

This bunch don't care, they have crucified Perry from the beginning. Now that he is down, they are like buzzards on road kill, he ain't dead enough.

If this completely finishes Perry, who will this bunch go after next? Like you I am not in the Perry camp, but I am for fairness to all these good people who have dared to put their ideas out there.

I thought the object was to defeat Obama, with anyone but Mitt..

I’m not. Cain will start to lose support as he continues to bungle the response to the charges. You think a momentary lapse of memory in a debate is bad, wait until you see Team Cain’s response to more women coming forward.

No. But if you think that any other candidate has a chance you are wrong. Herman Cain’s support will slowly erode until the Iowa caucus. The winner will be either Cain or Perry. Either way the momentum will carry him to SC.

It’s not that Perry is a great candidate but compared to the other conservatives, and Romney is not a conservative, Perry is the best.

He’ll do well enough in Iowa when Cain implodes. Perry will be the only top tier candidate with enough money and organization and ties to the evangelical community. Do you think Romney is going to get 20% of the Iowa vote? Not a chance.

"I’m interested in hearing what the Perry-winkles on this website have to say about his debate gaffe tonight. Will they still defend Rick Perry and try to tell us that he should be the GOP nominee who will have to debate the silver-tongued Obama?" -----------------------------------

Yes, I am very disappointed. My daughter just got out of the bath and jumped on my lap when he had his disasterous moment. I hugged my girl, could not believe what was happening, and turned the tv off. I walked away and said "its over for my man."

Its a hard pill to swallow. I started riggin up some duck decoys and tried to take my mind off of it. He had done pretty well up to that point.

All I can do at this point is ask God if there is a way he can receive forgiveness from the public. In this day and age, I doubt it will happen, but I am hopeful. He is a good and decent man. He would make a terrific president.

God bless Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Gingrich, Romney, Bachmann, Santorum, Paul and Huntsman. Something good WILL come of this. No matter what happens.

I am wondering how many of those accusers are going to be willing to go forward now that Cain has lawyered up with L. Lin Wood. That guy is still after the Atlanta Journal Constitution for something related to the Jewell controversy.

That’s tenacity. These women have to know that the MSM will dump them like a used Kleenex as soon as they get Cain out of the way. Cain is not likely to be in a forgiving mood.

Definitely a senior moment there. When you get older sometimes you forget things. Hate when I forget what the heck freeway I am driving on :> Guess that is why they have signs.

As we used to say in the Army: He stepped on it.

The problem wasn't when he stepped in it, it was when he started flailing his arms and made a snow angel.
