Herman Cain: Yes, My Wife is a Democrat
TPM ^ | 11/08/2011 | Evan McMorris-Santoro

Here’s what we learned from Herman Cain’s appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night: sexual harassment allegations can be funny and the elusive Mrs. Cain is, in fact, a Democrat.

“My wife is a Democrat, but that doesn’t mean that’s how she votes all the time,” Cain told Kimmel.

Not much is known about Gloria Cain, the Republican presidential frontrunner’s wife of 43 years. We were supposed to meet her recently, but the Cain campaign abruptly canceled a planned appearance on Fox News. Last week, the Atlanta Journal Constitution profiled Gloria Cain and discovered that not only is she a Democrat, but that she “has voted in Democratic primaries and runoffs numerous times since 2000 — including the 2008 presidential primary that Barack Obama won with 66 percent of the vote, according to local voting records.”

“I am starting to wonder if the most important candidate issue, with a view to preservation of our liberty is their stance on the 2nd Amendment. All other freedoms depend on the defense of the concept of private property and that it belongs to the individual and not the state. Perry may actually be the best friend on that issue.”

Absolutely. He is also on the right side of all other issues, not to mention he actually has a record, not just all talk, as all the other candidates.

I think Laura Bush was. I think that’s the point.

It’s not good.

For instance, she may be shy or intensely private or other innocent reasons that I haven’t even thought of.

Ah I see, not really interested in vetting the candidates, merely interested in finding the next way to smear Cain.

Thanks for making that clear

This is true. The 2nd amendment is the acid test.

However, in Perry’s case, one must remember that it does not matter what Perry’s stance is on the 2nd amendment if he lets in enough immigrants.

Adding another 20 million liberal Democrat immigrants to our country and the 2nd amendment will be repealed because Democrats/latinos/blacks/immigrants will control the majority of all elections in this country.

We already, are just 1 Supreme Court vote away from the 2nd amendment not applying to private citizens.

<< Would you really divorce your wife if she became a democrat? >>

That’s a flawed question, in that it takes one thing out of a very complex situation (every relationship is) and asked about it in a vacuum. None of us live in a single issue vacuum.

No one who had it inside of them to ever become a liberal would ever have been compatible with me in the first place. The essence of who I am is anathema to liberalism. I also find stupidity very unsexy and am not attracted to it even if wrapped in a pretty package. And it always has been that way with me. I realize not everyone is this way.

If you asked Perry, well Perry already said to Red State "because

anita made me do it".

She said no more play time if I didn't run for President.

And the third reason was ?????????....oh, I've got to ax anita, she'll know.

"There is a 999 and a 909 now. However, he would never be able to get 2/3rds majority in the senate to get it passed"

And any one of the other candidates will be facing four to eight years of Bush type bashing & democrats stopping bills & their appointments and on, and on, and on.

But if the democrats try that with President Cain they will lose the black vote forever.

Hmm I see so don’t worry about the candidates records instead we should just fall in line behind the latest GOP machine smear at Cain instead?

Sorry I more worried about the facts then the latest personal attack smear from the GOP Machine.

No but this quote from her and Herman's pastor and very good friend and associate would help explain it as well as Empowerment Zones

“let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.” “It’s not enough to talk about what black folks ought to do,” Alexander once said. “We have to also look at what government is not doing to ensure fairness and equal opportunity. God is on the side of the least of these. Jesus said ‘the first shall become the last and the last shall become the first.’”

Have you ever considered she could also be pro-choice and that would explain Herman agreeing on Fox and Friends that abortion should not be part of the political discussion and that abortion is a social choice?

I guess you ignored my response last night. Your article is dated May 15, the video I showed you is dated May 16. Watching the video I got the feeling Newt was making a statement to clarify something he had said that was being misconstrued.

Example: Cain gave an interview and the next day the media was reporting he was Pro-abortion. Cain came out and basically said wait a minute, that’s not right. I’m Pro-life.

Now, am I supposed to continue spreading the story that Cain is Pro-abortion, or believe him when he says he’s Pro-Life and that the media is misrepresenting what he said.

Is Cain the only candidate allowed to make a correction, or is that a courtesy extended to all candidates?

Now I know the video I provided and the information given to you by monkapotamus in post #26 counter the link you keep posting. The Perry supporters have repeatedly given you sources that counter the Perry supports Hillarycare story you keep posting. Therefore, for you to keep cutting and pasting information you know can be shown to have been corrected is disingenuous at best.

"LOL I'm guessing there are plenty of other democrats in his family that won;t be voting for Obama as well."

Yep! And I think he's going to pull in a lot more of the black vote then people think. I saw a video of a young black man who is an obama supporter but he was really upset about how Herman Cain has been treated in the media and also by the mods on Fox for not calling him the front runner when his numbers in the polls were the highest.

Mr. Cain is being looked over by blacks their checking him out and if he gets the nomination, when it comes time to vote, their going to have to make a decision... obama, the man who has killed our economy, or have a chance at seeing a miracle.... a second black man elected as President of the United States.

My husband is also pro-choice. That doesn't mean he could ever change my way of thinking. I just ask God to forgive him and help him see that abortion is wrong.
