Both feats were amazing unto themselves.

Either one would have made him a war hero.

Beating down a HOA these days is a significant achievement too. Give him a Fourth Amendment Medal.

I’ve heard of those OHA’s.

I’m not sure what good they do, other than to standardize everything into pretty blocks.

They give busy bodies authority and something to do. It’s a make work program actually.

You know, the words “brave” and “hero” have been dumbed-down as descriptors for every actor who makes an anti-Christian movie or every celeb who talks about their genital warts.
It is nice to see and hear about someone who TRULY embodies those words and what they actually mean.

Naturally the trolls of the Homeowner’s Association can’t stand anything that reminds them that better people than them exist.

Why are we submitting to the fascism of Homeowners Associations?
Too often it's a few busybodies itching to make rules for others.
Membership is not even optional in many places.

Good post and good for him, a true warrior. Sometimes you can and should fight city hall.

That’s why I prefer country rural living without these kinds of silly restrictions. I served a tour once in northern VA in a community like his with an HOA.

Bill McDonald’s motto was his way of glorifying a famous saviour of Texas....

“I leave this rule for others when I’m dead
Be always sure you’re right–then go ahead.”

-Narrative of the life of Colonel Crockett, 1834
