Much has been written about the democratic upraising in several Middle Eastern countries. Once those old regimes fell, the current Administration was quick to take credit for inspiring the democratic revolutions that will turn them into “new countries.”

Nevertheless, now that these revolutions have shown themselves to be less than “democratic” Obama’s Administration must accept responsibility because things are going terribly wrong.

Egypt

The Muslim Brotherhood is set to win enough elections to take total control of Egypt and attempt to transform her into an Islamic Republic. The only organization in its way is the Egyptian military.

"..protests and upraising are aimed at reducing the power of the military and put it under civilian government control. These orchestrated protesters are a good indication that they are coordinated by the Brotherhood.

The hostility directed towards military may be due to its dependence on West for its training and modern hardware.

The rise of an Islamist Egypt is a threat to non-Muslims in the region, including the cancellation of a peace treaty with Israel.

Fortunately, the Muslim Brotherhood will most likely fail in its bid for total control because history shows that for any dictator to gain control he needs the support of the armed forces.

Syria

Syria for some reason is being ignored by the Obama Administration. The Syrian President Bashar al Assad rules the country with an iron fist and has a very loyal security force and military. The small number of defectors and insurgents will have little chance of fomenting a civil war without external help.

Unlike Mubarak and Gaddafi, Assad will not be easily removed from power – words alone will not do it. The Free Syrian Army is nothing more than a nuisance with good Public Relations firm……

If the Egyptian Army holds off the Muslim Brotherhood we will all dodge a big bullet.

Yhe ultimate danger posed by a program presenting the “normal” side of life for American Muslims is that it isn’t accurate.

The danger is in the deception and obfuscation of the truth which results in the intellectual disarming of the American people.’
