FYI Jim Himes
That’s an odd break down. Half of BO’s economic team is from Goldman Sachs.
Half of every President’s team is from Goldman
That is a tradition that must stop.
Half of every Presidents team is from Goldman
So that’s why the country get worse no matter which party is in control.
“These are donations from either Goldman Sachs employees or PACs.”
Romney, Mitt (R) Pres $367,200
Gillibrand, Kirsten (D-NY) Senate $52,000
Rubio, Marco (R-FL) Senate $51,000
Obama, Barack (D) Pres $50,124
Brown, Scott P (R-MA) Senate $46,150
Cruz, Ted (R-TX) Senate $37,250 - Wife is a Goldman VP
Romney has promised Goldman that he’ll get Cap and Trade passed and signed if elected.
I know Jim Himes very well!
And that’s part of the purpose of Occupy Wall Street. In addition to creating a Cloward and Piven situation so Obama can “restore order”, they want to create contempt for Wall Street, then tie Wall Street around Romney. That’s why the liberal media is so eager to make sure Romney gets nominated.
IMHO...
The restore order thing won’t come up, I know people are concerned about that, but even if it comes up, it won’t come up. America is not suited to that kind of governmental control. For example, ninnies will turn in their own guns, but people with half a brain won’t. If the 2nd Amendment was repealed they wouldn’t collect hardly any guns. Politicians know this, they just babble about any issue that comes along because issue babbling is their stock-in-trade.
Influencing politics, yes, OWS is trying to do that. But their efforts so far simply revealed even to the average not-too-sharp person that they’re just a bunch of goofballs. Which makes them a political liability instead of an asset.
Creating contempt for Wall Street (of course Wall Stree does not exist any more): everyone has contempt for “Wall Street”, even the people that work there are very angry at the stupid things that have been done.
Romney - Obama would stand an excellent chance of beating him, as he looks like the guy liberals are trained to hate. And, just in case independents were looking for a change from Obama, if Romney is the candidate, the difference between the two is not too discernable for an independent, other than rhetoric. And in a general election, Romney would tack left like the Titanic, with just about as good results. That’s why IMHO Romney has very little chance of beating Obama and he would go down in one of the great Republican “snatch defeat from the jaws of victory” losses of all time. He literally would not know whether to sound liberal or conservative and try to be both at once. Conservative support would collapse for Romney, Obama could simply run as a centrist and win. One can see that this is Romney’s plan right now: he is letting the other Republicans try to out-conservative each other and saying as little as possible. This strategy is designed to minimize how many sound bites are on tape that Obama can use against him to claim he is too conservative. Romney is keeping his “liberal” powder dry for the general election.
