Palin Should Join Trump In Debate
jenkuznicki.com ^ | 12/6/11 | Jen Kuznicki

Posted on 12/06/2011 9:04:37 PM PST by jenk

The National Journal has an article about the Trump debate that is to happen on December 27th. Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman aren't going to be there, and now Romney says he won't "kiss the ring" of the Trumpster either.

You know, if I was Trump, I'd ask Sarah Palin to join him to moderate the debate. The left in the media are talking about how Trump is just a publicity hog, and how he's not a serious journalist who can moderate a debate, forget that, if Sarah Palin, who did go to college for journalism's sake and knows a lot about every single issue was to join Trump, well, we'd have us a great debate.

It's a joke that well-known anchors and so-called journalists get to moderate debates for whatever network they are on, they don't seem to internalize much in the way of actual knowledge of the issues. In fact, Newt Gingrich has called them out for their sleazy tactics when questioning Republicans.

If Trump wanted to up the ante, he'd ask Palin to help. Then, we'd get a real debate, what with her knowledge of this issues and her connection with the American people. And it would infuriate the Republican establishment because Romney just said he wouldn't do it. If he won't kiss the ring of Trump, he will sail far away from getting the nod of the American people if he decides to not kiss Sarah's ring.

I think they all are asking Trump for help and advice. Palin shared pizza as a guest of, Newt running his new ad in Iowa, Huntsman said to have courted Trump [new book], Rush playing golf and talking, Hannity with Newt and Trump recent meeting, Bachmann suggests Trump would make a great VP.

Sorry, but your writing skills are sub-par, and I’m not even sure what you’re trying to say.

Taken at face value, if you are saying what I think you are—still not sure— I may not entirely disagree, but it comes off like a satire piece making Palin supporters all look like Tina Fey groupies.

” To what end? She isn’t running. Maybe he should have Penn and Teller attend as well for levity. “ <<<

How about Mark Levine also, and Rush, if we are going to have a “people connection” threshold. Their “knowledge of the issues” would even include the longitude and latitude of Russia from the Palin porch, and a question referring to their personal library, or to the books they read, would not be taken as a personal threat to their person, nor an assault on their charactor. Mark and Rush would likely even know that North Korea and South Korea is not a reference to the northern region nor the southern end of Korea.

Sorry, I am flawed. I have no patience with the incessant laudible descriptions of Palin as being anywhere near precision on world history and geography, as “knowledge of the issues”.

Do you mean Mark Levin? Or the wierdo Mark Levine? And the quote you use from Lazlo indicates you and he are both a bit off mark. To what end? What a dumb thing to gather from the post. Sarah Palin is a media figure, (I’ll slow down so dodo’s can understand) and she has a vast knowledge of every issue. Since the media is having a conniption about Trump moderating the debate, he could have a media figure present who knows the things he doesn’t, like everything besides, “China sucks.”

It would certainly constitute ‘must-see-tv’ if Palin joined in to moderate. But frankly, considering what a grotesque train-wreck this primary season is proving to be, it would probably be wise to stay as far away from it as possible.

I think with Palin moderating, it will necessarily make the candidates move right, and in the case of Bachmann and Santorum, will make them shine.

You like to use Tina Fey’s SNL parody and Palin’s obvious (and immediately rectified) slip-of-the-tongue on Korea to disparage her intelligence.... Yet you’ve had a history of worshipping the ever-so-brilliant Rick Perry to the hilt. Yeah, whatever.

More like the air leaking from your head.

Like I said—guess you missed it— I don’t disagree that Sarah, who I dearly love, would be fun to have as a co-moderator. But your over the top praise of her knowledge on all issues seemed a bit like satire and I was trying to clarify.

She’s great, but she’s not perfect.

Who said she is perfect? no one is, especially you. But since you love to condescend and act like an ass, I’ll take the part, “I don’t disagree that Sarah, who I dearly love, would be fun to have as a co-moderator.” as your agreement with my entire post.

Thanks for agreeing with me that Sarah Palin should moderate the debate on December 27th with Donald Trump.

Now, was that so hard?

Really? I have never watched Saturday Night Live. These were not “slips of the tongue”, unless you suffer the handicap of blindness, hearing impairment and are mute. If glibness and touchiness serve your definition for high intellect, we have nothing to discuss. As for Rick Perry, he is unmatched on conservatism. Unfortunately he can not adequately express himself in the debate setting. Palin was all about expression and flair, but with the depth of a piece of paper on the issues, world history, geography, and got all huffy and intimidated when asked what she liked to read. And you say I have a history of worship of Perry. Sheesh. Look at yourself. Perry admits his flaws. Palin trademarked hers. LOL!

Mmyeah. Actually, I have no interest in the gov as a moderator or co-moderator, of this or any other debate. Nor as a kingmaker, cheerleader, fundraiser or campaign surrogate. Or even as a commentator. No. I have interest in seeing the gov in one role in this campaign, and one only. The California primary is June 5. I vote by mail. I get my ballot probably sometime in May. Unless one or more of these candidates show marked improvement by June 5 (and the earlier, the better), I will be voting for Sarah Louise Palin of Alaska. If necessary, I will be writing her in. If necessary, I will be writing her in as well on the general election ballot in late October or early November. Yes, I’m very well aware she’s not running. At this point, I don’t really care. I want to win this thing on November 6. I think based on what I’ve seen that none of these candidates are really ready to run a winning campaign. I think at least one of them isn’t even able. I think the gov just might be. This primary contest is a crapshoot. If I’m throwing the dice anyway, I’ll do it for somebody I believe is worth the stakes.

Relatively few people would care that a candidate refused to “kiss Sarah’s ring”. Her primary occupation for the last three years has been to quit government office, fail to be elected to government office, decline to run for government office, and drive around in a big bus. PDS might bring in some ratings, but not the kind that candidates want.

ahh, no, I think they are trying to capitalize on his early popularity,

You are kidding with that comment right?

Who that is confident in their own platform needs to be seen with Trump? They cannot run on their own merit? Their own popularity? Perhaps Donald is seen as a threat to Karl Rove's job [he thinks he has] and really dising Rove at the same time. Rove is out there dumping on Trump predicting worst ratings ever on the debate and he is getting it right back at him. That alone is Media Talk overshadowing the candidates.

Palin was THE first to go to see Donald, share pizza and talk, Rush says they talk when going to play golf, Huntsman approached him early on, Newt is doing an ad with him in Iowa and just had a meeting along with Hannity, plus Hannity is all over Donald.Donald seems extremely popular to these guys, including Palin, plus Bachmann-do the search of each one with Trump and what they have to say.

Palin needs to dump that unflattering red bathrobe with pin she appeared in recently and I am not usually a fashion critic! Over the top. Bachmann is much more savvy, confident, dresses professionally, especially less drama going on with family, more experienced and has a real job not just a part time contributor. What has she done lately?

I used to like Palin and still do as a family person; but she is yesterday's news. She will never live down leaving as governor and doing TV shows--yes I know she had to pay the bills in facing the Left's attorneys; but also saying she had done all she promised in 2 years instead of 4. The McCain crowd and the Left saw to her bad press from the get go.

Just my thoughts, as you have yours.

She didn’t leave her governorship for some silly reason, she handed the reins over to her capable lieutenant to show the GOP how to campaign.

It wasn’t a bathrobe, it was a Christmas-y jacket, your eyes are bad, not to mention you are more interested in dumping on Palin’s clothing than Trump’s hair!

Was just my opinion and I have her farewell address. Yes he was a capable Liutenant governor, and she left for the reasons I stated and I understand she had to pay the bills for 200+ court actions filed against her by Democrat lawyers converging on her state--down to a logo on her shirt. I know all that!! She said she was saving the Alaskan taxpayers money in time spent on this crap. McCain people threw her to the wolves.

But many see her as quitting. You are preaching to the choir here.

BUT that Christmas-y RED faux bathrobe looking jacket was downright over the top! and Yes Trump has the hair thing going on. Of course I would not base my voting on that ugly red bathrobe looking jacket, at least Trump has tailored suits and dresses appropriately for every occasion. Yes I am joking in a matter of speak. ;) Don't get all sensitive. That jacket damaged the visual I have of her, however. And my eyes are perfect, better they were not at the time. Palin is a pretty woman but dresses old.

Bachmann who I like more and more pulls it all together, is the whole package and I would vote for her over Palin on substance. Image does account to a degree.

It says a lot about you to criticize a good Reaganite conservative over a jacket she wore one time in an interview.

Ever think it may be a lighting issue? Do you want her to invest in lights for her home now too?

Who cares if “many see her as quitting” the truth is the truth, hey, but stick with the left’s perceptions, that’ll really help us take back the country.

pretty dang shallow if you ask me
