My son with his Ukulele doing what he likes to do. I guess ukuleles are the rage now. Hope you enjoy it.

Looks too big to be a soprano uke. Is it a tenor? I can’t get it to play.

Although Al Jolson had the big hit with "California, Here I Come!" in the summer of 1924, I prefer Cliff Edwards' version, which also sold well.

The video clip of Edwards performing "Singin' in the Rain" is from the movie "Hollywood Revue of 1929." The song was recorded by several artists and inspired a knockoff, "Singin' in the Bathtub," which was also a hit. My favorite version of this tune is by King Benny Nawahi's Hawaiians, which features a steel guitar and ukuleles.

Here's one of my favorite versions.

At 3:28, Prince steps up to the plate and shows all those wannabe guitar slingers how it's done.

I agree. I play in a band that does about 15 Beatles tunes. Even some of the early hits display advanced arrangements for that time. I Want To Hold Your Hand is a good example.

We also cover the Animals. Their arrangements were also ahead of their time for the mid-60’s.
