Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media “vet” the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.

This “election” will be a non-election...featuring the state approved “candidates”-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.

We are running against the RNC, the DNC, and the media. It’s an uphill battle, and Willard is not up to the challenge.

If Santorum runs, I’d rather lose with him than lose with a lame candidate like willard.

I remember when Newt helped win the House in the 90’s, first time in 40 years.

You probably heard something about Newt's book deal immediately after. He was offered first $2.5 million, then $4.5 million by Harper Collins.

He had his hand out weeks after the victory.

In 1988 when Newt firsrt came to Washington his “net worth statement” said that he was worth $10,000. He left ten years later in 1998 it was $7.5 Million. How does one do that on less than $150,000 per year? I doubt that $5,000 speaking fees explains it.

Thanks COBOL2Java.
Step one: Mitt wins Iowa, thanks in large part to Ron Paul dividing the opposition. Step two is New Hampshire. Once Mitt is 2-0, obedient Republicans will fall into line. By February 1, he'll be the nominee presumptive, going through the motions against the token holdout, once again likely Ron Paul. Then the Axelrod attack machine will crank up and label Mitt a "typical Republican." He'll have all the problems of the GOP brand dumped on him, and the more he tries to return to his "I'm no Reagan Bush Republican" MA roots, the more of his own base will stay home.

Do you have a credible source link for the net worth allegations?

The RINO Party elites are Donkey socialist/Marxist lite. They’re the country club Rebublicrats whose names we loathe with a passion. What the RINOs want is to apperar as offering an opposition to the Donkey Party. In reality, they’re in bed with them.

The RINOs aspire to a permanent minority status so they can appear as powerless critics of the Donkeys, but are actually helping them divide and rule the population.

The RINOs are only too happy to take the scraps left behind by the Donkeys. RINOs crave MSN coverage — gained by selling the American people down the river — as long as they can go to the posh DC parties, get invited to golf outings, and vote themselves more perks at taxpayer expense.

Vince Flynn’s “Term Limits” is sorely needed . . . NOW!

I have never sat out an election, I won’t sit this one out either. That having been said Mitt better have plenty of his own money, he won’t be getting any of mine or a lot of other people. Conservatives don’t donate to RINO’s as a normal rule. We vote for the McCains and the Bush’s in the general, but we don’t send them money.

I do think that there is some likelyhood that Mitt could win the nomination. He has been working on it for 5 years and the guy does know how to organize.

My only hope is that if he gets the nomination and wins the election he turns conservative.

My real fear is that Obama won’t run. Hillary will be the Democrat nominee. She will get the womens vote and will win hands down. O will not be able to qualify in enough states to run and then Hillary will have to step up to the plate and save the party. It doesn’t make a difference that she is the same as Obama, that she was part of the Clinton administration, that she is queer or anti Israel she will be the nominee.

Now put that in your pipe and smoke it Mitt.

At this point, I am not even sure the GOP can win this election if its were the only candidates running and the country contained no democrats...

I am feeling incredibly pessimistic at this point ><;;

I pray to God Almighty that some dynamic changes and soon.

If the election is against Obama and any Republican I think it will be a landslide for the Republican. It doesn't matter who the Republican is that except perhaps Gingrich would have a hard time because of his past and the hate the press has for him.

I just don't think we will be running against Obama. There too is the third party that the Democrats will likely foist on us. Paul, or perhaps Trump will siphon off enough votes to do like Perot did against Bush one. That was the only reason Clinton got elected. I suspect that the Democrats are counting heavily on the third party.

I am frightened and I expect Hillary to be worse than Obama. They have the same friends and she will get a couple of years without scrutiny where she will have a free hand to do as she pleases.

I also fear Hillary, because not because of her abililty as she is an utter idiot, but because of the stupidity of this country.

I wish I could agree that any republican could beat Obama, but it seems to me that saying any republican can beat Obama is essentially the same as saying no republican can beat Obama, because no republican stands out at all. There is no who who stands out as boy that person would make one hell of a leader, none that I can think of except perhaps for West, but certainly none that are in our current field.

I am not searching for a perfect candidate, because I know that such a person doesn’t exist, but at this time I just can’t see anything going in our favor. Maybe things will change, I really hope they do...

I've news for you....Congressmen don't run or are elected State wide. Grab a clue..when you can.

Abraham Lincoln, you know the first President that was a Republican, was a congressman.

Perhaps it is you who needs to review history.

I have no link as I received the data from an FOIA I filed with Congress from the Senate Office of Public Records and the Office of the Clerk of the House to get both Senate and House records.

From 2004 on you can look up the data on line at:
http://www.opensecrets.org/pfds/overview.php?type=W&filter=C&sort=D&ptysort=A&year=2004

Everything else is in the pre-digital age sadly.
