Ron Paul for President, Are You Freaking kidding Me

Posted on 12/29/2011 10:43:07 AM PST by TheNewPatriot

All you Ron Paul supporters, you are obviously one digit short of a normal IQ or have a single digit IQ. No conservative believes we had anything to do with 911 or believes we brought it on ourselves. Once you step into the realm of 911 being America's fault, you're in the realm of kook ville anti-America rhetoric. I don't want a President that's going to sympathize with our enemies and rationalize it as it must be our fault. We have that already with Obamalama. If you like that, vote for Hussein. Also, being a military veteran, I'm sure as hell not voting for some clueless idiot that denies there's still a threat out there against America and wants to deal with it by dismantling our military. Mr. Paul demonstrates that he has a dangerous and fundamental misunderstanding of the threat posed to every American citizen by radical Islam and the little Hitler running Iran.

Let's also not forget the racist newspaper. Don't even go there with the excuse he had no idea what was being printed. You have to be walking Mr. Magoo not knowing your name is attached to such racist filth. Bottom line, Mr. Paul is many things, but conservative is not one of them and he isn't the answer America is looking for to return to that shinning light on the hill of greatness. Greatness doesn't come from being a pacifist or supporter of leftist social policies.

I posted a favorable article about Ron Paul a few weeks ago and have not been deleted, but I have seen calls for the banning of others regarding RP so have kept my mouth, or fingers rather, quiet since about posting any articles. I have always been respectful of people and differing opinions.

I believe you nailed it. Paul is only a temporary face of a lasting ideal. Glad for this awakening, it actually gives me hope for future candidates and elections.

No one in North Korea believes it’s their duty to bring about the arrival of the 12th Imam. And this is not an hysterical claim.

Speaking of the Koreas, does President Paul pull troops out of South Korea?

Whoever wins the Republican nomination is going to need the support of all Republicans and independents, regardless of which candidate they supported in the primaries. Why do you think it is appropriate to insult anyone that you will eventually need to vote against Obama?

Well said! While I have serious doubts about the suitability of either Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum, I have tried to avoid too harsh language, for the reasons you state. I honestly feel that their approach to foreign policy is too close to all the mistakes of the past twenty years, but that does not mean that either would not listen to honest advice from those who have a better grasp of human behavior--such as the immortal Washington, as cited in my first post on this thread.

Is post #11 satire? If not, are you also authorized to have the tooth fairy revoke birthdays or something even more threatening.

“But who are you supporting? A bunch of RINOs that once in office won’t do squat to bring down the size of government or do anything about the loss of freedoms we have suffered in the past few decades.”

Don’t worry, Romney will save us. His “conservative” version of ObamaCare is second to none.

To simply name call or to assume that all his supporters are just anti-american pot heads is foolish. Paul is the only candidate running that convinces people he hates the government as much as they do. If ANY of the other candidates would adopt his stance on the FED or the constitutionality of federal agencies, or any number of his other domestic agendas Paul’s support would crater.

As it is people are left with the unfortunate choice between big government hackery from the Newt McRomney crowd or dangerous foreign policy by Paul. Rather than simply write off Paul supporters as defective, other candidates would do well to examine what makes otherwise conservative people support this man.

If the GOP doesn’t address the concerns of the Constitutionalist/Originalist voter, they will be alienating what appears to be a large contingent of voters. From what I’ve read from his supporters, they are not so much supporting the man as his platform.

I really, really don't like Paul. But you have hit the nail on the head, and I agree with you. People are hungry for candidates and leaders who will be faithful to the constitution and who care about original intent. Which is to say, faithful to their oath of office, since they all swear allegiance to a constitution it seems few of them believe in and few of them have read.

And people are tired of being denigrated by GOP poobahs for believing in the constitution. We expect to get attacked by Dems; it really riles people to be attacked by their own party for believing in what the party is supposed to believe in but maybe no longer does.

When has Dr. Paul suggested gutting our military? That is a baseless charge. The truth of the matter is that our military is now so spread out, as to be vulnerable in many situations.

Again. The Ron Paul foreign policy/defense strategy is a 21st Century manifestation of the Washington/Jefferson foreign policy. See An American Foreign Policy.

It is not a policy of weakness. It punishes the first insult. But it does not try to change other people's cultures. It leads by benign example, not intrusion.

And what will any of the current crop of RINOs do about Iran? How are they going to stop them? Face facts, the most that they’ll do is blow a lot of hot air about it but basically do exactly nothing, just like they did in North Korea. At least RP is honest about it. No matter who gets elected you’ll be seeing a nuclear capable Iran before the decade is out.

I am on a conservative web-site supporting a constitutional platform and a Republican Primary candidate: does that make me a troll here?

I’m still convinced Ron Paul would be a better choice over Mitt Romney if it came down to a choice between the two.

I’m not gung-ho about Paul’s foreign policy, but as far I’m concerned, the Federal Government by far the most eminent threat to the safety and security of this country than any foreign power is.

Romney isn’t serious about reining in Fedzilla, so he’s a non-starter for me (aside from the fact that he’s a sham of a man with no real convictions).
