It is interesting on how China eliminated drug addiction back in the day. Either cold turkey or a bullet int he head. Meth is a definite scourge that we need to deal with. It should be look as an act of war from the cartels.

Nasty stuff, eats people alive anybody making it anywhere should receive a death penalty for it can be a slow murder of the user.

The underlying cause is probably that some Americans are sick, and need painkillers or things that give energy like meth to feel better.

Mexican Drug Cartels Resolve To Increase Meth Supply For U.S. Drug Addicts
Degenerate meth heads in the United States have good reason to celebrate the new year.
2012 promises to be a banner year in meth supply as the powerful Sinalo cartel headed by Forbes-listed billinoaire Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is ramping up production in Guatemala as reported by The Associated Press: "Guzman is taking advantage of Guatemala's remote, isolated mountains and an alliance with a key Guatemalan trafficker to make the Central American nation a new international meth production base."
Meanwhile, yesterday Mexico announced that it has arrested Ramiro Rendon Rivera who allegedly was a a key weapons smuggler for the Sinaloa cartel as reported by Reuters.

No word on whether Mexico intends on issuing international arrest warrants for any U.S. or Chinese government officials for their alleged roles in supplying deadly weapons and precursor chemicals to the Sinaloa cartel. Any word on if the Justice Department would bring charges or cooperate if they were able to identify the individual. OTOH Maybe a little blackmail would evolve.

Thanks for the post Atlas, I didn’t know China was smuggling precursor chemicals to Central America and Mexico. China has probably never forgotten or forgiven the Opium wars.
