Obama’s Peace Partners, the Taliban, Attack Bagram Air Base on New Year’s Eve

“Look, the Taliban, per se, is not our enemy.” - VP Joe Biden December 2011

Two weeks ago the White House told us that the Taliban was not our enemy.

Iran Press TV reported that nine missiles were launched in the attack on Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan. There were initial reports of several casualties.

UPDATE: Press TV has more on the attack:

The U.S. Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan came under 2 missile attacks on Saturday, as the American soldiers were celebrating the New Year’s Eve.

Taliban militants have claimed responsibility for the attacks, saying they have fired 9 long-range missiles on the strategic base, killing dozens of soldiers.

Afghan officials have confirmed the attacks, but ruled out any fatalities.

My daughter is on a 6-month deployment to Bargam. Fortunately, she was TDY to Kabul over the weekend so missed Biden’s pals’ attack on the air field. Come home safe, Kris.

I have an uneasy feeling that somehow, about this September or October, Obama will ride in on his horse (figuratively speaking) and somehow strike or create perception of striking against Iran in order to garner support in the polls.

In the meantime, I hope the Afghans are correct and there were no US military casualties.

We didn’t abandon Vietnam. Double check your history. Under the Paris Peace Accords we were obligated to arm SV on a one to one basis.

Democrats undid all that and then the commies marched in and then the slaughter of our friends and allies began. Not we, Democrats.

Gateway Pundit quoting the mouthpiece of the Iranian regime. No confirmation from any other source.

Skeptical is not a strong enough word.

Thanks for that link. I just made a quilt for a wounded soldier that will be delivered sometime this week, probably. In addition to the quilt I made matching friendship bracelets - one for me to wear so that as I work with my arms and see the bracelet I will remember to pray for the soldier and his/her family, and one for the soldier to wear as a reminder that somebody is praying multiple times a day for him/her. I’ve been praying for the last 2 weeks for whoever will end up with that quilt, that God would prepare them for what lies ahead if they’ve not been wounded yet or preserve as much of their health as possible if they’ve already been wounded.

The more I can learn about how to pray for our soldiers and their families, the better. I watched Black Hawk Down for the first time last week, to help me better understand what it might be like for them in the battlefield today.

Your friend’s post about platitudes from people living their comfortable lives at home hits hard. I’ve been very concerned for the lawlessness within our government and have been trying to do whatever I can to confront it as effectively as I can. But like somebody battling the deadly sleep of hypothermia, I have to fight the desire to just accept that the country is dying and slip into a comfortable but deadly sleep. My Dad - who is even more of a fighter than I am - told me on Friday that the government would never let Sheriff Joe reveal Obama’s ineligibility. It was an emotional roller-coaster, that oscillation between the red/fight code and black/”accept the loss of everything you love” code. It was the intense question of whether I could fight alone if everybody I know and love has already given up and thinks I’m crazy for keeping at it.

I needed to hear what your friend wrote. How can I support those fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan if I would give up the homeland to our own version of the Taliban here? Either place, it’s lawlessness, and it is deadly.

I will keep praying with all my heart. And I will keep fighting for every inch of ground here too.

He won’t “cut n run”....he’ll continue to act on behalf of his mooslimb brethren as a usurper and infiltrator to further weaken America both at home and abroad. DUmocrats and the DNC media are much worse than the enemy our troops are fighting overseas.

“I watched Black Hawk Down for the first time last week”

Holy mackerel. Then again, I haven’t made it all the way through “Flight 93.”

Remember, butterdezillion, William Wallace was, at several points, in effect, alone in his struggle. Many of us here read what you—and those who side with you—research and write.

Since 0bama’s election push means shutting down as much scrutiny as possible, he’s going to come after the ‘Net this year.
