The Republican Iowa Caucus is tomorrow and by all accounts it will be a very close race. Mitt Romney and Ron Paul have been neck-and-neck in the polls for months now, but a Rick Santorum surge in the last week makes Iowa appear to be a three-way race. Michele Bachmann, Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry, and Newt Gingrich are also on the ballot.
Who will win is completely up in the air at the moment and will be until tomorrow night. However, right now, who would you vote for if you had a chance to voice your support in the Iowa caucus? Sure enough, some candidates that are in the race right now may not be in it by the time the primary in your state rolls around, so vote in our poll and make yourself heard now.

Santorum
NEWT GINGRICH
Santorum here as well. Not my first or second choice, but my choice for the remainder of candidates.
Rick Santorum 27.78% (20 votes)
Mitt Romney 4.17% (3 votes)
Ron Paul 9.72% (7 votes)
Michele Bachmann 2.78% (2 votes)
Rick Perry 23.61% (17 votes)
Jon Huntsman 1.39% (1 votes)
Newt Gingrich 30.56% (22 votes)
Total Votes: 72
They all have good and bad qualities
I think I’ve decided on Perry. Although I am ok with most of the choices.
When I take away the “electability” question (I fear Perry is not electable because of debate flubs, Bachmann is not because of the occasional shrill/naggy presentation, Newt is not because he is so all over the map, Santorum is not because he is not a charismatic type, and Mitt is not because he doesn’t have support from the base),
and I just pick the one I trust to have the best positions, the best capacity, and the best record, to handle the world stage, the economy, stop the politically correct social agenda - Perry surfaces.
So for what it’s worth I am in Perry’s corner, with Anyone But Paul running 2nd.
May the best man/woman win.
And that is what is making this election cycle so hard on all of us.
“I wish (just this once !), we had cloning/splicing techniques to grap a bit here and a bit there to put it all together as one candidate.”
True dat.
Even we conservatives seem to prefer the only one who clobbers Obama, the “Generic Candidate”. What we lack is a warrior type like Ron Paul, but NOT Ron Paul. His style of political assault on both the Establishment and the Marxists
is exactly what we’re looking for, someone who will fight, and has the long, weary record of experience doing it. By comparison to the bull in the china closet, the field is milquetoast.
Rick Perry comes maybe the closest because he has to for relevance, but Newt could be, if he would, the Lion who can end this thing.
NEWT!
I think I’d go with Perry as the best Conservative with the least baggage, and enough resources to potentially win.
I asked a buddy in Iowa and he said he’s voting for Ron Paul. Why? “Because he’s $#^@^ing Ron Paul!”
Go figure....
I just cast a vote for Newt. GO NEWT!
Newt is currently leading at 32%. I just polled for Newt.
Newt just nosing out Santorum, which in a sane world would be how it should be. A fight between these two works for me. I voted Newt. Notice Willard gets less than 5% which is also about right - in the real world outside of Iowa and N.H. Sanjaya is sucking up fumes as well.
Rick Santorum 30.05% (55 votes)
Mitt Romney 5.46% (10 votes)
Ron Paul 11.48% (21 votes)
Michele Bachmann 4.37% (8 votes)
Rick Perry 14.75% (27 votes)
Jon Huntsman 1.09% (2 votes)
Newt Gingrich 32.79% (60 votes)
Total Votes: 183
NEWT GINGRICH
Santorum, the conservative.
It's not a scientific poll, {which ones really are?}, but it is an indicator of FReepers that are roaming around FR at 2:00 PM Eastern time.
If it keeps on snowing here I'm going out doe hunting later this afternoon.
My son shot a nice one, but I've still got two tags to fill and room in one of my freezers for at least 120 pounds of tender bambi moms.
