Republi-crats - The Two Parties of Tyranny Dr. David M. Berman www.smellthetruth.com

There was a day when Constitutional Americans saw hope in the Republican Party. After years of liberalism, and the four years of the inept, big government administration of President Carter, Reagan was elected. Reagan brought back a sense of belief in the American system of freedom, and personal responsibility. Through the presidency of Ronald Reagan conservatives gave the President a pass on many things because we all saw this as a transition to sanity and doubled our efforts to get the House and Senate into Republican control. We foolishly believed that once the Republicans got control, we would finally have an end to the insanity of liberalism, and would see our great country return to the principles of liberty as found in true Constitutional limited government.

We, who understand the principles that our founding fathers staked their fortunes and sacred honor upon, realized it would be hard, but felt confident that the “Reagan Revolution,” would bring about an effective dismantling of the growth of tyrannical government in our beloved country.

Fast forward to 1994 and we got Newt Gingrich and the Republicans. They put forth “The Contract with America.” This was to be the undoing of years of government abuse and growth. Oh how we all cheered when the Republicans took the House. When they failed to deliver, and government spending increased, we gave them a pass because the Democrats controlled the Senate.

Then it happened! They won with George W. Bush as President, and both the House and the Senate with a Republican majority. Now after all the years of excuses, all the increase in government spending, and all the decrease in personal liberty, it was time for action. What happened? They passed more big government spending and liberty stealing legislation, a brand new entitlement prescription drug program, and more loss of liberty by the passing of the “Patriot Act.” More importantly, they did very little to curb the killing of millions of babies. The most basic principle of liberty being the right to life was treated as political hay when they needed the base to get them elected. The Republicans became just like the Democrats from the standpoint of protecting power. Pork barrel projects, payoffs to political supporters, and increase in government agencies. Bush, with the help of both Democrats and Republicans created the Department of Homeland Security. Even the name of it sends tyrannical feelings up my spine. We already have a bloated federal police presence. We were told that 911 happened partially because the law enforcement agencies did not communicate. So what did Bush do? He created an even bigger administrative nightmare to liberty. There is a reason why each state is called a “State.” There is a reason why each state has a “State Constitution.” Each state is not referred to as a province, or territory. We were made to be semi sovereign states with submission to the federal government only under the specific agreement made in the Constitution. I have quoted the 10th amendment before and I will do so again now:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Quite clearly this amendment says that there are specific powers that are granted to the federal government, and there are specific restrictions on the states. Other than those specifically outlined in the Constitution, there powers belong to the sovereign states and the people who live in them.

The federal government has no right to tell the states, or the people who live in them anything other than what the Constitution grants them power to. Furthermore each state must protect the principles of liberty as clearly directed in the Constitution. The federal government has no right to enforce anything outside their given powers, and the states have no right to take any right away from their citizens.

Tyranny is a strong word. I do not use it lightly. What we are experiencing is soft tyranny. So far we do not have people being shot in the streets by the government, political prisoners, or what we all know to be the signs of hard tyranny. What is happening now is the continued, and accelerated foundation on which hard tyranny in built and implemented. Let’s look at the un-American Supreme Court decision that dismantled personal property rights:

Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005) In this case, New London Ct wanted to take private property from one citizen, and put it under the control of another private concern by using “eminent Domain.” This clause has always been understood to be necessary when the public need for expansion of something vital (like a highway or airport) was needed. The Court decided that the government had a right to take a person’s property if the deemed it better for the community for another person to own it. Tyranny!

Now we come to what should be considered the single worse violation of Constitutional rights since Roe v. Wade. The House and Senate passed the “The National Defense Authorization Act.” Our Representatives and Senators of both the Republican and Democrat Parties overwhelmingly destroyed the 4th amendment. It was the last thing Obama signed into law in 2011 and gives power to the government to detain without charge or counsel any American citizen that is “suspected” of plotting terrorism. This means that any political enemy, or anyone who speaks out as I do against this un-Constitutional government and or this Pathetic Anti American President and Congress could be taken and held indefinitely at the opinion of the government. Who determines what “suspected of” means? According to this Republican and Democrat supported bill, it is at the discretion of government with no due process of law. Tyranny! In voting for this gross violation of liberty, these people have used the Constitution as toilet paper. The Obama administration responded to concerns about this tyrannical Law as follows:

“The president strongly believes that to detain American citizens in military custody infinitely without trial, would be a break with our traditions and values as a nation, and wants to make sure that any type of authorization coming from congress, complies with our Constitution, our rules of war and any applicable laws.”

If the President really believed that he would not have signed the bill. In doing so he has shown clearly that he is not the defender of the Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic, but rather he and those who voted for this are our enemies.

How about the Republican field of candidates for 2012? 1) Mitt Romney still says he was right to force people in his state to buy health insurance. In saying that, he is saying that the states have a right to violate the principles of liberty. 2) Ron Paul says abortion should be decided by the states not the federal government. In saying that, he is saying that each state has the right to violate the right to life and kill children. 3) Rick Santorum voted to raise the debt ceiling 5 times, and supported Arlin Spector who was a blatant liberal. 4) Rick Perry felt he had the right to force girls to get a sexually transmitted disease vaccination over parental authority. 5) Newt Gingrich made money from Fanny and Freddie with his influence peddling, and sat in favor of government intervention of so called global warming with non-other than Nancy Pelosi. 6) Michelle Bachman Voted in favor of “The National Defense Authorization Act for 2012” in doing so destroyed the 4th amendment (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2011-375).

What we have come to see is that both the Republican and Democrat parties are run by un-American sellouts that will say anything, and do anything to get and keep power. Although it is true that of both parties rank and file, the Republican Party has the real conservatives, it is also abundantly true that real conservatives have no power in the Republican Party. The power is vested in the leaders of the machine, and the Republican machine is simply the light version of the democrat party. When it comes to big government, when it comes to big spending, when it comes to the violation of the principles of liberty, and when it comes to corruption, both the Democrats and the Republicans are woefully guilty.

So I warn you all to prepare to fight for your families, your communities because your liberties are being stolen by this President and Congress. Wake up, tyranny is not coming, it is here and all that is left is for the government to fully act out on what it has voted itself the power to do. Make sure you have means to defend against an attack by this government on your property and sacred right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” That means guns and ammo and organization.

Am I now a suspect because I speak out against this tyranny? Should I now fear my government’s wrath for my free political speech? Am I now to be silent in fear of the threat that at any moment I, an American citizen and a believer in God and principles of liberty as written in the Constitution, may be taken without charge or counsel indefinably? I am a Jew. We have been through this before. I will not be silent. I will not be intimidated by these scoundrels, these despots, these purveyors of tyranny. They think they can take our property, imprison us without due process of law, limit our political and religious speech, usurp our states/people authority, and even turn the military against us as they did in taking the citizens guns away in New Orleans after the Katrina disaster.

The Constitution states that they have no right whatsoever to do so and we have every God given right to defend our liberty from ALL ENEMIES. I am an American. I hope you are as well. May the Lord, by his grace preserve this Republic, and not allow it to continue to fall into hard tyranny. God help us.

We’ve been discussing this topic for years on free republic. The “Lincoln Coven” defends the Union and the centralized FedGov™ that Lincoln started and the progressives finished. The pro secessionist crowd takes a different view. So are you just pimping your blog or are you going to participate in the thread you started?

Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media “vet” the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.

This “election” will be a non-election...featuring the state approved “candidates”-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.
