People all over the world are reporting they are hearing strange sounds and recording them on video. A compilation of these separate incidents has been uploaded to YouTube, and one fact is chillingly clear.
Whatever these unearthly noises are, they all sound similar, and are, so far, unexplained.
It's easy to say that these strange sounds, sometimes extremely loud, and other times seemingly far off, are the product of a hoax.
But their similarity to each other, and the fact they have been recorded in so many diverse areas of the world, leads one to believe that such a hoax is impossible to coordinate.
In the past, supernatural events, such as UFO sightings, have been largely visual in nature and reported as such. It's only in the last few weeks that this phenomenon of strange sounds has begun to be reported and discussed.
Commenters on the video, numbering in the thousands, are in three basic camps; those who scoff and explain it away as a hoax; those who attribute the weird noises to Hollywood movie soundtracks; and those who claim to have heard the noises themselves.
It is this latter group which is claiming that the strange sounds are similar to each other and therefore not a natural occurrence.
Here's the video:

What do you think? How can this new, spooky phenomenon be explained?

Have you ever seen the George C. Scott version? My favorite!

I heard REALLY strange sounds last night with my own ears, as did Mrs. 2ndDivisionVet. Not on tape or YouTube.
2 things. The better quality and the more prevalent recording equipment is to the public, the more things will be picked up and shared. Also, the more new technology is out there, that is more things making sounds around us that we may not always recognize. I noticed when we got a new ac compressor at our house that was one of these new high efficiency models, it makes almost a whining or whistling sound that I didn't recognize where it came from at first. The 'sounds' around Midland Texas have changed a lot since Pickens put up his thousands of wind generators.

People hearing strange sounds only means that they don’t know what it is immediately, not necessarily angel’s trumpets heralding the end times.
Bigfoot flatulence?
Yes. Patrick Stewart’s rendition is good, too.
Disney even did a nice one a couple of years ago.
Also, unidentifiable humming-like noises in Loudon County, TN.

Has any of this been reported by the American media? If not is it because they’re keeping us in the dark about this? Oh, wait! Wrong thread! That falls under conspiracy theories.
Mass hysteria or drones
These exact types of sounds? Or just something you couldn’t identify?
If they are recurrent, get yourself a decent recording rig with a broad spectrum microphone.
Anybody check with the LHC lab geeks over at CERN? Reportedly hundreds of them were seen fleeing the grounds, pursued by purple dragons.
Sounds like those scary alien machines in the most recent War of the Worlds movie.
Seriously, if you’re not familiar with that movie, check it out.
Oh yeah....I live in Madison, WI.
I heard this about two weeks ago. I went outside to look, but saw nothing, the sound scared me though.
"Do I even need to say it?"
