If you haven’t heard already, Drudge is reporting that Newt’s ex-wife has unloaded on him in a 2 hour interview with ABC News. Suddenly, ABC News went into a civil war over when to air the video because of the South Carolina Primary this weekend. Here are the details from Drudge:
Marianne Gingrich has said she could end her ex-husband’s career with a single interview. Earlier this week, she sat before ABCNEWS cameras, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. She spoke to ABCNEWS reporter Brian Ross for two hours, and her explosive revelations are set to rock the trail....
...Levin covered this on the air and put this into perspective considering how little we know about Obama, his hidden records and shady dealings:
I for one could care less about what Newt’s ex-wife says. We all know he was a dirtbag and I’ve already given him the benefit of the doubt on the fact that he’s changed.After all, this country is at stake and I’m not going to let some 2-bit media outlet sworn to defend Obama and his Marxist policies at all costs dissuade me from who I’m going to vote for in the primary.
And btw, I’m not saying I’m voting for Newt yet, but he is in my top three.

As far as the Obastard. That is an even bigger leap of faith by the MSM.

It will matter. I am totally pessimistic about this upcoming election.
We conservatives are always looking for what doesn’t exist. Purity. So, Newt will be attacked by conservatives for not being “conservative enough” after this interview. It doesn’t matter that we are not permitted to know how Obama paid for his college education, the media will convince the “purity” crowd that Newt has to be attacked, leaving us with one more candidate, and the media will convince us that he’s not conservative enough to vote for either.
It all sounds familiar, and the circular firing squad has finished us off.
Drudge certainly looks manly in that picture [sarcasm].

Yep. No small wonder that he’s a Romney shill.
It matters because Newt is a Republican whereas Clinton was a Democrat. The media will always go out of their way to personally harm a Republican they hate, whereas they will go out of their way to carry water for a Democrat they do like. It’s really just that simple.

Just exactly what these people imagine they can squeeze out of this story is a good question, and do they imagine they've forgotten their own sex scandals?

Bringing in the ex-wife and paying her to make libelous statements? that’s about as dirty and underhanded as it gets. There was a time when they would have paid someone to kill Newt. You can’t get away with that kind of thing anymore so you have to settle for character assassination. I think most people will recognize this as the assassination attempt that it is and will, hopefully, reject it.

When did Marianne agree to sit down with Brian Ross, and when did Obama agree to go advertise for Disney?
Newt's been 'investigated' - for everything. Between liberals who hated him - and his bitter controlling 'wife' - he was a sitting duck for this type of harassment.
Anyone can be investigated - for anything. YOU can be investigated. Or your neighbor. With a good enough story, the FBI will come out and investigate. Or even a not so good a story. It's their job. They investigate. It's what policing agencies do.
Being investigated is NOT the same thing as being guilty. If Newt had been guilty of anything, the MSM would have run with it - on the front page of every liberal paper in the country. They hated Newt as much as his witchy wife, Marianne.
The fact that NOTHING came of this - and HUNDREDS of other 'investigations' of Newt - makes it reek of political witch hunt.
Newt was found innocent of all except some small thing to do with teaching a class for free - the equivalent of jay walking ... Louis Freeh (FBI) is known for being a 'by the book' kind of guy - there's no way he would have interfered and stopped an investigation if he hadn't seen the stuff being done (against Newt) as political.
As far as his sweet loyal ex-wife is concerned - who hasn't known a bitter controlling vengeful woman? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...
Do Ex Wives ever have anything good to say about their former husbands??
