What does it really take to be a president?
Well, we can argue all we want about the relative importance of private sector experience vs. public sector... legislative vs. executive social issues. vs. economic vs. foreign policy
The one place on which we must agree is the Constitutional requirements in Article II for the president and vice president: each must be at least 35, must be a natural born U.S. citizen, must have lived at least the prior fourteen years as a resident of the USA, and must be from a different state than his runningmate. Doesnt sound hard, does it?

I think many people are totally ticked off. You need a BC and other documents just to get a DL. Unless you are an illegal alien.I am retiring after 35 years in NJ Gov’t. I have been vetted at every step incluing college, job entry, every medical change, etc... Now I have to provide a valid BC, certified marriage certificate, bc’s for each dependant, etc.. or I can’t retire. Why can’t this President provide whatever is needed to prove his eligibilty? It doesn’t matter what he provides as long as it is whatever any ordinary citizen should provide. Since Obama won’t, he is giving us all the finger and the people on his gravy train just laugh.
The thing I missed in this posted article is any discussion of Why the NBC is in the qualifications in the first place— and the manifold reasons any patriotic American ought question the “loyalty” to this Country/Land that seems so clearly lacking in Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama II.And yes I do question the loyalties of his mommie and his purported mentor as well Never met a communist with any loyalty to these United States.
I’m sorry, StonyBurk, I did mean to address the question of Why....
See the section entitled “The Big Picture.” I didn’t want to beat the reader over the head with the dual loyalty issue, but... you think I should’ve gone farther?
(people usually accuse me of going to far as it is, so I sometimes try to hold back, to be safe!)

See how seriously the MSM treated questions of McCain's eligibility. Very detailed and academic. A cursory search did not reveal that the MSM took sides -- but they took the question seriously.
Now compare that to how those who question Obama's eligibility are reported. RACISTS! KOOKS! BIRTHERS! RACISTS! HATE MONGERS! RACISTS!
The irony is that Obama voted in 2005 as a senator for the law that requires this.
