Left, right, doesn’t matter anymore. They’re just two sides of the same coin, both being totally corrupted by power. The majority of Americans live sandwiched between the extremes of the left and the right, and have no real representation in government as a consequence.
Right on —we need a true second party—a Conservative one.
It should come out of the Tea Party—Our symbol The Bear, or the Rattle snake (Don’t Tread on Me!)
Platform: Simple Smaller Government, Lower Taxes, No more PC, no more Greenie hippies, Drill for our own oil, Dig our own Coal, Tariffs on foreign built cars—no to Unions and their corruptions and thugs. No to Roe Vs Wade. Close the border if it means each American has to go down their and for free for two weeks a year build a wall to rival China’s Great wall—and man it with soldiers too. The border with Mexico should be air tight.
If I recall the Whiskey Rebellion had its own flag? Maybe someone should post it—that rebellion is nothing short of what this talk has become-—Once we rebelled over the tax on tea? If the founders could hear us now they would draw their swords and tell us to form our troops. We need a new—bolder Tea Party—and the Sons of Liberty too.
I think I love everything you said. Seriously.
Thanks for the 2nd comment. I am an old guy who has been familiar with Communism since WWII. They lie about who they are just as they lie about everything else. Marxists, progressives, liberals, whatever, they are still Communists. The other names are intended to soften them and give them some sort of credibility.
I mentioned the Fabians because they practiced stealth and deception and implemented their programs over a long period. Now, with this Obama regime, they are just trying to ram everything through as fast as they can while they are in power. No more slo-go but they still take umbrage at being called even socialists.
They won’t give up power easily. I expect to see uprisings and social upheaval which will give Obama the excuse to declare martial law and cancel the elections. Occupy Whatever is part of that.
What young? We killed off millions of them. The ones pouring in from around the world are products of a century of Marxism or worse, products of a barbaric religio-political system.
If we do have a revolution it will be with a sad heart that we are the ones to blame for the challenge we now face. Eternal vigilance is a lovely motto, but a hard life. I'm afraid we sat back and gave our children over to hirelings while we pursued "meaning" or some other lamentable cheat.
It's a cold comfort at this moment. But I wonder if we'll be let off the hook so easily. And especially we women. While the men of our generation fought and died, or worked and died, we stayed home to be courted by the Left through silly movies, magazines and other media. We gave away much of our high calling as women and mothers and teachers of our young, to run after some vain attempt at "equality."
Within a few short years we flooded the employment market and reduced the value of our men's work until now; when we must all work just to live, all demand public education just to have the basics, and all demand that "somebody should do something" when our life's ill choices have brought us into the narrows of few choices.
I hope that there is a small portion of eternal redemption for having seen the error of our ways.
Heh. But not if they have all the power. And the Establicans' are making it pretty clear in bold caps that they don't need us. That belies a corruption so large and advanced that I fear for my vote. Our blood-bought suffrage is being undermined daily by corruption and cash. It's obviously no big deal when our MSM learns of ballot box stuffing or intimidation, it's just another historical note in the decline of our freedom.
They apparently have enough money to buy what they need.
Fear a third party? After the vicious scorched earth tatcics unleashed by the establishment against anything conservative, I WANT a third party. A conservative party.
One thing to remember is that the Conservatives don't really belong to either party, our ideology is very different from those currently in office.
I think we just need to send a clear message: if you put forth Romney, you will lose to Obama. We will not vote for Romney if he is the nominee. Period.
No third party threat, just a boycott.
If politics is a blood sport, then let’s see if the RNC has enough money to buy the votes they need without us. If they do, we’re screwed anyway, so yeah, bring it.
No boycott, take the fight to them. Pull all of the support for the current powers to be, and use it to push forward a party that puts Americans first.
It’s been a long day, so let me re-state it better: Boycotting their nominee and writing in my preference.
The ingrained nature of our two-party system makes the idea of a third party rather anathema to certain ranks. I can live with that for now. But there’s plenty of room for real dissent in the ranks at the ballot box.
I WILL NOT vote for Romney. Period. There’s local battles to be won. It’s where the last modicum of our political power resides.
I hear you, the last thing I want to hear about at the end of the day is politics. It drives my blood pressure through the roof, and cuts into my beer drinking time.
