What is that photo from? What is the context?

I believe it's a Bain Capital Young Guns celebration gag photo.

“Poor choice of words that will be touted out of context “

Well yes, but when running for this level of office one better watch what come out of their mouth.

Unless your name is Obama of course!

You may call yourself a conservative. You really DON’T want to know what I would call you. But it rhymes with “. . . and the Democrat liberal hypocrites.”

” Newt, just play that clip over and over and over again, just play the clip!

Emphasizing that quote will result in more anti-Republican sentiment -- regardless of the nominee.

I hate mittens, but there is nothing wrong with this statement.

There is nobody starving in this nation, unless they are incapicitated, abused or neglected.

Our "very poor" are quite well off when compared to the truly poor in the rest of the world.

We have a real problem in this country that is becoming its undoing. Our infrastructure is crumbling under the weight of illegals. 30-50% of those attending ‘urban’ high schools are functionally illiterate and actually graduate late, over the summer, which is nevertheless calculated as a graduation in that year. More and more students do not assimilate, believe that being intelligence and ambitious is acting White, and college should be free. Gangs are increasingly prevalent among the young as foreign-born people and individual Whites are increasingly isolated when alone.

Then, there is the entire dumbing down of college curricula, not reading, not being able to read, not knowing about how to balance checkbooks, not knowing how to be thrifty, and not being willing to hold 3 jobs if necessary to afford college.

We have closed ranks on communities, abandonning integration and using foreign-born and educated for skilled professionals because of tax advantages for corporations and an apparent blockishness of what students are being taught in K-12—which isn’t how to think and reason for themselves.

Add to this an unemployment rate that STARTS at 20% for young people, and we have a real, national security issue on our hands that is not going away in the next two years, let alone four.

I don’t know how to solve this, and I don’t know of anyone who does. Paying people welfare/EBT/whatever simply keeps them from starving to the point of getting desperately violent en masse.

But that, I believe, is exactly what Soros and Van Jones, 0bama, Pelosi, Reid, ACORN (by whatever name), and the DNC have planned, probably commencing on this year’s nakba day, just for sh!ts and giggles.

I like to fire people. I'm not concerned about the very poor.

And we thought John Kerry was an opposition soundbite machine.

Yeah you’re right I’m a liberal that’s why I supported Fred Thompson, Palin, Cain, Santorum, Newt...

Oh I know, its because I counsel people not to jump onto liberal attacks against Romney.

“We have a safety net there,” “If it needs repair, I’ll fix it.”

In other words, just let them sit there drawing their free moneys! Just don’t call him a socialist!

I am so with you. In my heart I have no qualms about equating Romney with Obama with the Establishment, and I can not make myself believe Romney expresses any real policy changes at all from Obama. We simply can not get that money back that Obama has already put in the fire and as a debtor nation existing now with a gutted military and defense our future is already sealed no matter who is at the helm. These institutions are now replaced with
homeland security using mysterious tactics to claim our security.

Point being that Newt at least could keep us cheered up with his soaring rhetoric and with his willingness to borrow from some of Ron Paul’s emergency fiscal measures some of which Newt seems to take deadly seriously, about reducing our debt as Newt has said, and not just presiding over it, or increasing it.

Yep, me too. It’s the middle class taxpayers that are suffering, we are sending money to the gov’t and they are totally WASTING it on “programs”. This is going to hurt him but I agree with the statement, there is a safety net for the very poor - many safety nets in fact and they are doing better than those of us who are “middle class”. They don’t even have to work for what they get. We work, and pay for those who won’t.

Did Reagan always rely on reference to the safety net, or not? I think he popularized the term.

I’m listening to Rush now, first he outlined that Newt did poorly, then he totally sounded like he was sympathizing with Newt, then he played Scarborough saying Rush ain’t going to endorse Newt ....

Now he’s back to Newt having agreed with John Kerry on global warming, and only Santorum is pure (which I keep saying).

How much you want to bet Rush will never support Newt unless and until Newt is nominated? Please don’t call me a traitor for keeping an open mind.
