Only one thing missing from the speech - Sarah didn’t reference Moochelle’s spending $50,000 on underwear (lingerie).

Governor Palin mailed this one in.
Such a disappointment after Newt’s powerful “reset” speech.
Her speech lacked the line I most wanted to hear: “For family reasons, I could not run for president of the United States this year, but Todd and my children have already agreed that three years from now, at CPAC 2015, they are okay with me announcing my 2016 candidacy for the White House.” Otherwise, it was one of the best political speeches of the year.
When is Rush going to make his CPAC speech this year?
I’m usually a big fan of Palin. But this speech was lifeless.
Why not try and listening to it again while sober or not under the influence of some mind-altering substance?

Even the leftist media, not that we needed their validation, for the most part admitted that Sarah brought the house down and gave a speech that overwhelmed all of the other Presidential candidates speeches there at CPAC, including Newts. So that’s very noteworthy.
Everyone can have their opinion of course, I’m just observing that those opinions that panned her speech to be very low so far. In fact quite a number of people have said that the “perfect candidate to face Obama isn’t running”

So she comes to CPAC and piles on Newt’s campaign, in a speech portion that equally piles on Romney’s campaign??
You might have been hearing things you wanted to believe.
I tried to state that in a kind way.
thank you. i searched last night and couldn’t find the 3rd part (which i thought was weird)
Sarah was explaining what is conservatism, why the Constitution is important, and why we need to get rid of 0failure.
to me, she is the only one that can bring out the whole base. only Santorum has a glimmer of the right stuff, but i don’t think he’s got the buzz to make it happen. romney’s mormonism eliminates him as he loses 10-20% of the base. gingrich might not have the repulsion factor of romney, but people are not stirred by him... resulting in the whole base not coming out to vote.
right now, the ‘election math’ goes to the left.
Sarah only needs to put her hat in the ring... and the country will have a chance. i realize she wants to keep her family safe... but i hope she understands, if the left wins, her family will be in mortal danger along with the rest of us.
if she ran, i’d volunteer for her ss detail for free. she’s the only hope i see of saving this country
No one “stirs” like Palin, agreed.
Disagree that people aren’t stirred by Newt.
They certainly were, and many still are, in fact, that’s one of his biggest claims to fame...his debates and speeches do have the ability to stir people. Without that, he wouldn’t be anywhere.
Newt’s CPAC speech was riveting, a winner.
His last debate performance before FL wasn’t up to his usual standard. Staff said he was tired and nursing a cold.
BUT, polls and contest performances by Newt fell off the table after Romney overwhelmed him with negative, false ads to the tune of about 20 million in a few days time.
A batch of attacks from so called conservatives in the so called conservative media piled on at exactly the same time.
Palin DENOUNCED all of that and came to Newt’s strong defense.
However, Newt “stirring people” when compared to Palin?
No one compares to her.
One thing Newt has, which Palin understands and it causes her to be supportive...I didn’t say officially endorse...is experience in successfully making big change happen in Washington DC.
Without that, even his debate and speech performances would be hollow, empty shells.
NO ONE has been attacked with the level of ferocity, hatred and outright lies that Sarah has. NO ONE.
a few tv commercials is nothing compared to what she has weathered.
and how you weather the storm is the mark of a leader. political adversaries are nothing compared to foreign leaders bent on our nations destruction (not to mention the domestic ones...)
newt's fame was predicated by Reagan. newt used it to help push the agenda, and that is good. problem is, newt isn't a leader like Reagan. he's a middle right conservative that has made his career and fortune in washington politics. Americans know he won't bite too hard at the hand that fed him.
but Americans know... Sarah will gut that pig given a chance... and this is what brings them to their feet.

Sarah has the control button.
She didn’t run.
If you can manipulate a convention of delegates that are pledged to Newt, Mitt, Santorum and Paul to nominate her, and she accepts, great.
If not, I don’t go off to whimper and believe there is no one else who can be successful.
Newt in my view is the closest thing.
I think Sarah thinks so, too.
