Have Ron Pauliens become PSYOP Victims?
Barrack Now ^ | 2/18/12 | Ben Barrack

Ron Paul supporters are a very passionate bunch. They're all in for their guy. A large majority of them are 9/11 Truthers who believe the United States government is responsible for 9/11. When you point out to them that there are a lot of Muslims and communists who share that view, they dismiss it. When anti-Semitic musings were revealed to have been published in his newsletters, his supporters dismissed it. When Eric Dondero, formerly a very close aid to Ron Paul, wrote that the Republican presidential candidate is "most certainly Anti-Israel, and Anti-Israeli in general," his supporters dismissed it. When it was discovered that Ron Paul quoted Robert Pape on his website as someone whose foreign policy views he respects, his supporters dismissed the fact that Pape has close ties to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). When Ron Paul says it's our fault that the Muslim world hates us, his supporters nod...

Nonsense!
The “majority” of active duty military does NOT, in ANY WAY, support the nut case Ron Paul!

Because someone who is an idiot claims to support someone, you would infer that anyone else supporting the same person is a dupe? Conjecture and innuendo, thinly connected facts and cherry picked quotes out of context, really? Why not just come out and say what you really think? You wouldn't be in danger of losing any credibility if this is the best you have.

Any candidate has quotes that, taken out of context, could be damaging, look at Barrack Obama’s quote that if the economy is not fixed in three years, he'll be a one term president. I haven't heard anything about him turning down the Democratic Party's nomination, and though they claim the economy is better, I can't see any sign of it other than in the news.

What it boils down to is that most everyone these days decides what facts they will accept and what ones they will not, irrespective of their validity, based on whether it agrees with their own ideology. You're not going to convince them, and they are not going to convince you.

This article is pure propaganda though, plain and simple. Try to back up your assertions with SOME facts and maybe someone will take you seriously.

Fact is you would not be getting all worked up if you really thought Ron Paul was a joke.

Fact is that Ron Paul believes in the Founding Fathers vision of the America. I did not know that all of a sudden the KKK, Code Pink, OWS, Dopes and the tin foil hats love the United States Constitution, and share the same views as the Founders of our Republic???? Although something tells me that B.S., and you are just trying to smear him since you can’t argue the facts.

Fact is Ron Paul served in the U.S. military in Vietnam.

Fact is Ron Paul is a medical doctor and still went over to Vietnam even though he had a wife and children.

Fact is Ron Paul is a U.S. congressman that has been consistent with most of his political positions unlike the rest of the candidates. A lot more than the other candidates that did not have the guts to serve when it was their time.

Fact Ron Paul has never supported a Terrorist or Terrorist group. Just because Ron Paul takes the Founding Fathers position of not wanting to be policeman of the world does not mean he sides with the enemy. By your very definition you would think the Founding Fathers support Terrorist.

Fact is we have over 900 military bases world wide and operate out of 2900. This does not even include 11 Carrier Battle Groups too. Which consist of over a half million troops between the Navy and the Marines alone. Furthermore, we have the most advanced military in the world. Thanks to great advancements in technology and military equipment we do not have to maintain the same size military. We can save a lot of money just be phasing out old technology (military bases) and bringing in new (global fighters, bombers and drones).

What you are arguing for is the equivalent of wanting to stay in the horse buggy industry after the car industry has been invented and thriving. Remember it was technology that defeated the Soviet Union after Reagan went forward with SDI and rolled out the Stealth Bomber. The Soviet Union realized their army was obsolete and we all know what happened. Fighting the last was has never been a successful strategy.

We are broke right now. Greece is collapsing and Italy, Spain and France are next. If we go to war with Iran then it will be the beginning of World War III. Russia and China said they will back up Iran if we attack. Do you understand now???

Oh and regarding the war on drugs. I guess you though Prohibition was a good thing?

The drug war is the same as Prohibition. It’s a not winnable war. Then on top of that you get things such as the Fast and the Furious. Oh yeah I forgot that falls under the tin foil hat conspiracy theories right??? Trust everything because politicians never lie. (sarcasm off)

The reason Sormfront, KKK, code pinko, conspiracy theory foilhats, occupy parasites and the like support that crackpot? They share extremist and crackpot ideology with him. Just keep telling yourself about the myth that he believes in the Constitution so that you can ignore the racist, extremist and loony groups you are are rubbing elbows with.

I don’t care if he claims that he likes puppies, apple pie and baseball. His long documented history of behavior, comments, and associations make him a nut, dangerous, racist, a liar, and completely unfit to occupy the office his cult wants him to win.

And anyone, like that crackpot Paul who advocates legalizing drugs, is a serious hazard to society. Dope is a national cancer that needs to be eliminated, not marketed.

Okay so I guess if you believe in the U.S. Constitution and the Founding Fathers ideas then that is crazy or nuts as you said?

Oh and you must also think this about our military thinks this way since the majority of them support him with their dollars?

My bet is that you do not think that way.

I’m just trying to point out how invalid your cherry pick argument is about Ron Paul. It’s something I usually hear from hard core leftist that can’t argue facts. So they go to name calling like racist. I see you have learned well from the leftist.

Okay so you like it when the government tells people what to do? So what else do you want to ban? Do you want to bring back Prohibition? Do you want to outlaw cigarettes? Perhaps you side with the food Nazis of schools telling kids what to eat? Do you want to ban guns now too?

We are not a free country if the government is outlawing and lecturing us on everything from cradle to grave. Then again you may like being told what to do or think.

The people that dislike or call Ron Paul crazy don’t understand the evils of the Federal reserve. Ron Paul has been consistent in his message and is probably the only candidate that can save this country from spending itself into oblivion.

No I don't.
But I don't trust anything obama says about anything.

Libya and Egypt are part of the muslim brotherhood.
Iran is next.

obama wants to get rid of our nukes but set up all those countries to be muslim brotherhood.

I'm not saying that Ron Paul is correct on everything but this country is broke and there has been an effort to bring us down for a long time.
We have 0ver 250,000 troops worldwide and over 240,000 defense contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan.
There is a big difference between defense spending and military spending.

You do provide proof that to continue to support and defend that crackpot it does take the ability to ignore the facts written about him, accept the totally unacceptable, and parrot the same old tired talking points.

The military supporting him is a myth. It has been exposed here numerous times.

Bottom line is he again failing miserably. Mainstream America knows a dangerous crackpot when they see one. He has attracted a few new groups as his ideology has been better exposed. You will now be able to sit next to the KKK, Stormfront, Occupy, Code Pinko, traitors he has praised, radical Islam that he ignores, dope-using losers, and a variety of foilhats. You will not have mainstream conservative Americans. Just keep up the old tired Paul mantra and beating that rejected libertarian drum.

Ron Paul is a nut, it rarely pays off to argue with a nut.

I did notice a man in UNIFORM at a Ron Paul election night rally, once

That is, of course ILLEGAL! Completely against the UCMJ.

I guessed at the time that the guy was probably just an actor, pretending to be in the military.

People don't really care what a streetcorner crazy is spewing. They simply cross the street to avoid him. Ideas cannot be delivered and be expected to considered as serious when delivered by a crackpot who babbles long lists of bizarre, offensive, dangerous, and tinfoil hat crappola.

It would stand to reason that Paul would do well in such a state, given the coverage, his own service and his military donations. But he didn’t.

According to exit polls conducted by Fox News and CNN, Paul got very little actual support from South Carolina’s military population.

Fox News exit polling showed that 21 percent of those who voted in South Carolina served in the military.

Of those who identified themselves as veterans or active duty military, Ron Paul received only 12 percent of the vote. Newt Gingrich, the clear winner of the primary, received 39 percent of the military vote, followed by Romney at 32 percent. Even Rick Santorum received more votes from the military than Paul.

Is it possible that Paul’s military support is more myth than reality?

Redstate diarist Kudzu notes that one “can put down anything in the ‘occupation’ box” when making a donation to a political candidate.

A post at Liberty Reborn calls it “the Big Lie.”

“Military personnel email me every day telling me that on base there is at best one Ron Paul supporter and how frustrated they are that the Paulbots are telling this Big Lie,” writes J. J. Jackson.

He adds:

According to the numbers available on January 6th, 2012[1], Ron Paul has received $24,503, $23,335 and $17,432 from people who declared themselves as working for the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy respectively. The total is $65,270. They are the top three donors listed.

He continues:

So, $65,270 made in one dollar increments would mean 65,270 members of the military donated to Ron Paul. In September 2011[2] there were 1,468,364 total active duty military personnel in the United States. Divide the inflated number of Paul donors by the total active members of the military and you get 4.4%. Hardly an outpouring of support if you ask me.

Jackson explains further:

When you look at other candidates, it is true that you do not see anywhere near these numbers for these military professions if you even see them at all. There are however reasons for this. First, active duty personnel stationed overseas will often have their spouses make donation for their household to candidates. These donations are then listed under the spouse’s information which is often times not military related. Secondly is that members of the military, from my personal experience, hate to be used as political pawns and when they donate to political candidates they often do not list their military service as their profession. Thirdly, military personnel, as I have been told by military personnel themselves, generally really hate to be used for political purposes thus they again do not like to list their service on donations made to military candidates so that their donations cannot be used in this manner. And fourthly is that there is a concerted effort by Ron Paul supporters in the military to make sure that their donations are listed as coming from military personnel in order to perpetuate this talking point for political gain. But let’s ignore all that. Let’s ignore it because Ron Paul’s supporters use simply the dollar numbers as the end all and be all of the proof to support their supposed claims.

The proof, as the saying goes, is in the pudding.

Despite what Paul and his supporters claim, the ultimate show of support - the actual vote - simply wasn’t there for the Texas Congressman.
