What is behind this Alinsky-style pattern of attack?
We suggest one possible answer to this riddle is Ron Pauls principle political benefactor, globalist financier and libertarian activist for the homosexual agenda, Peter Thiel.
As has been noted:
For more on Thiel, see Follow Ron Pauls Money too: Peter Thiel, Globalist, Bilderberger, GOProud Activist. For more on the candidate in question, see the Gulag Bound tag, Ron Paul.
Levin noted last night that Ron Paul is helping Romney by attacking full throttle Santorum like he did Bachmann and Perry, but wont spend any significant money attacking Romney. So Levin wants to know what Romney is promising Ron Paul in return:

Romney has been shamelessly brown-nosing Ron Paul since at least the 2008 campaign. Uncle Ron has been Mitt’s guest in his private jet and at his summer home, reportedly, multiple times. Ron and Mitt’s wives are also good friends.
It has always been a given that Ron will cede his delegates to Mitt. The open question is will the GOP E insist on a Santorum/ Romney or Romney/ Santorum ticket to get to 1144?
I never saw Rommney at a Freedom 21 meeting but I sure saw Ron Paul.
From the Freedom 21 website
Congressman Ron Paul is a strong champion of freedom in the House of Representatives. His courageous efforts to address problems with the United Nations through HR1146, and his sponsorship of a Resolution to withdraw from the World Trade Organization, demonstrate his commitment to the Constitution and the principles of freedom it guarantees.
Congressman Paul is from the 14th District of Texas, but he represents every American who values the U.S. Constitution.

Libertarians don’t like economic socialists - but they hate social conservatives. They love political correctness. The economic socialist card trumps the social conservative card with conservatives every time. That is where the Rinos come from.
