HBO's 'Game Change' is an attack on Republicans, Hollywood conservatives say

Hollywood conservatives are worried that HBO’s made-for-TV movie “Game Change” has a very clear agenda to skewer the Republican party since it relies only on excerpts relating to the Republican portion of the 2008 campaign from the book of the same name.

The flick, which debuts on the cable channel on March 10, is based on the best-selling campaign tome by political writers Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, and stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin and Ed Harris as John McCain. Trailers for the film show Moore’s uncanny Palin as often confused and on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

“If I was looking at that book and wanted to take out the most interesting and compelling parts to make a good movie I wouldn’t be talking about the parts with McCain and Palin. There is some unbelievably juicy stuff in there about the Clintons and the dynamic between Bill and Hillary and Barack Obama and the Chicago machine. That is some great stuff, but the McCain stuff is the most boring part of the book,” Mark Vafiades, past president of the Hollywood Republicans and political activist told Fox411. “Obviously Hollywood wants to do whatever they can to discredit the right and the Republicans.”

HBO defended their decision to pluck the Palin portion of the story from the original text because they believed that her story is one of the truly great political stories of our time, and the most riveting narratives in a very long book...

Well, the political reasons for doing this are obvious enough; Hollywood hates and fears Sarah Palin.

But as a moneymaking idea, it seems stupid to me. Who wants to see a film like this? Palin’s admirers certainly won’t. And why would those suffering from PDS want to sit through a whole movie about someone they hate?

It's election year 2012 and nonpartisan media, Radio and TV, help the apolitical decide which Party to support.

Take CoastToCoastAM.. please!

This past Saturday one guest described 9/11 as Bush sitting there in a school room with a child's book upside down on his lap looking like some kind of (don't remember the exact pejorative words) -- a perfect example of stupefaction.

Nonpartisan guest two was there to talk about psychos -- the Bush Administration was full of psychos, he said. George Bush is a psycho, he said. As a youth Bush blew up frogs with firecrackers, he said, and on and on for several minutes with reasons why Bush is a psycho.

Nonpartisan C2C host John B. Wells was getting piles of emails saying something like "Hey! Obama acts exactly like the guest is describing Bush!" So Wells told the clown.

I can see how people make that mistake, said the clown. Obama like all of us may have faults but he is not a psycho. The clown claimed that he read Obama's books and anyone who can write like that is definitely not psycho. How about that.. I predicted all of the above on a thread promoting Saturday's show but I failed to predict that one of the guests would declare Bill Ayers is not a psycho. Darn.

Going on 12 years of C2C Bush bashing. I wonder how many more apolitical "kooks" were convinced to vote Democrat.
