Breitbart’s Last Laugh
Weekly Standard ^ | 3-1-12 | MATT LABASH

I woke up this morning to about ten emails from journalist friends asking if our mutual friend, Andrew Breitbart, was really dead. “Really” was the operative word. Some meant it in the traditional sense: Is it possible for the human inferno that Breitbart resembled to have actually been extinguished at age 43, leaving his elegant wife Susie and his four beloved children behind? Several, however, meant it as in: Is Andrew really dead? Many of us didn’t know if we could trust the announcement, thinking this could be another Breitbart caper, as he always had two or three in his back pocket.

By way of greeting, I used to ask Breitbart what kind of evil he was up to.

“Most kinds,” he’d say, gamely.

If they really wanted him gone, then they could not have chosen a better time. His death sucked the air out of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s press conference on Obamao’s forged documents.

I am not saying it was done, but the timing could not have been better.

I don’t think his death sucked the air out of Arpaio’s press conference. It actually enlivened it, given that Breitbart had interviewed Arpaio the night before, and that was reported by Jerome Corsi at the press conference. So, the timing of Breitbart’s death enhanced the drama of the press conference.

Nothing offensive?

Man up and use kcvl’s name instead of “the freak.” If you are going to take it to other threads, have the nads to extend a courtesy ping. There is such a thing as freeper ettiquette.

Regardless, kcvl doesn't need me to defend him/her. This isn't even my argument, but sometimes I can't help myself. I'm done

Your man picked me out of a couple hundred other posters, most of whom were saying much more than just noticing how the 11/01 plane crash was immediately declared an accident, and he made it personal.

Nope, I’ve done nothing offensive.

Thanks for being done.

Maybe I was getting a different feed or the story was overstepped while they heckled listeners for money. I’ll try to find it on their website. Thx for the straiten out.
