The endorsements keep coming for former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. The pundits who regurgitate all that conventional wisdom keep saying he's the only Republican that can beat President Barack Obama in November. The most commonly stated reason for the pro-Romney push? He can win the all-important Independent vote, but independent voters seem to be saying otherwise.

According to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, only 22% of Independent voters have a favorable opinion of Governor Romney while 38% have an unfavorable view of him.

You’re kidding, right?

Mr. “I’ve always been Pro-Life” can change perceptions?

First he would have to learn to be honest.

He is a serial liar.

Any of the candidates can win, even Ron Paul, if we stand behind the Candidate.

I will vote for anyone but Obama.

I believe the best candidate is Newt Gingrich, but when the SHTF I will vote for anything ot anybody who runs against Obama.
Another Obama term will be devastating. Well: this one has been devastating, but another one is unthinkable.

As a member (Bishop) of the LDS church, he serves completely at the pleasure of the LDS church. if we want Theocratic Communism, vote for Mitt Romney! And because Mormonism is closely related to Islam, Sharia Law may replace Constitutional law in the u.lS.A. under a Romney administration.

Didn’t the pundits say that McLame and Dole were the only Pubbies that could beat the Dems?

The question

“Can Romney Change Perceptions?”

should be re-stated to ask

“Can Romney, The Used Car Salesman, Con Conservatives Into Voting For Him Without Realizing It?”

Probably if he took a bit enough hit of acid.

Sure, Romney can change the independents' perception of him. Keep talking and that 22/38 favorable/unfavorable ratio could go to 12/88.

Trees the right height, I have friends who own NASCAR teams, my wife owns two Cadillacs, bet you $10,000 - Every time Mitt tries the "man of the people" routine, he just reaffirms what a phony he is.
