ObamaCare’s Supreme Mistake

The US Supreme Court this month hears arguments on the constitutional challenges to the ObamaCare law — with the top challenge centering on the mandate that every American buy health insurance. Increasingly, and not just for constitutional reasons, that mandate looks to be the law’s downfall.

Princeton University’s Paul Starr, whose advice helped shape ObamaCare, recently admitted that the mandate was a big mistake.

“Democrats managed to get themselves the worst possible result: a law that enflames the opposition on the basis of overreaching federal power but may not work in practice because there is no real power behind it,” he wrote in a post for The New Republic. “Whether or not the court strikes it down, the individual mandate has been one of the most serious political and policy mistakes of recent decades.”

Obamacare itself is the Supreme Mistake.

The whole thing needs to be tossed in the trash.

Contraceptive, abortions planned parenthood.
All doctors paid the the same rate. and then told how they must invest their money. Tax on top of tax. business’s screwed over so badly thay cannot grow and may not survive.

The whole thing is a monumental takeover of far too many business’s and taxes, and rationing. It’s a flustercluck if there ever was one.

In other words, it’s EXACTLY what Obama and the Commu-Cognress wants.

Irrelevant. Fact is ObamaCare wasn’t meant to pass a smell test. Like all liberal ideas, once it was in place, there would be no way that the establishment or the courts could kill the program.

There are over 50 new agencies with thousands of people working on this boondoggle. Trying to kill the program would lead to a media backlash of Republicans killing jobs.

I would worry about the poison pill put in this bill that will be brought up by the left once SCOTUS kills this. There has to be something in the law that makes certain this program will never die. That’s just how the Rats work.

Killshot quote from the article on Obamacare AND Romneycare: “So, in all likelihood, millions of uninsured Americans will choose to wait, pay a fine — and buy insurance only when they need it.

This is precisely what’s been happening in Massachusetts under its 2006 health-reform law, which included an individual mandate. Ever more people are buying insurance just before incurring huge medical bills, then dropping it as soon as they’re treated.”

If lack of severability were heeded, then striking down the individual mandate would bring down the whole thing but a recent appeal court decision inserted severability as implicitly understood.

So they don’t care if the individual mandate is struck down. They have the taxing power to tax and redistribute and the tax authority will be held up.

In other words we are going to have Obamacare in our lives because of the 16th Amendment.

Thank those geniuses of 1913 and thank Woodrow Wilson. It’s been a long slow 100 year walk to full blown socialism in the USA.

And one factoid to consume, FDR’s people at the time of the Social Insurance movement aka Social Security had in its original plan to include health insurance but left it out for later. Well later has arrived.

Yes in 1933 and 1935, they were talking about social health insurance which we call Obamacare today.

They deceptively denied that it was a tax and avoided using the term tax while the legislation was being debated. They knew if they called it a tax, people would rise up in arms about it. I sure hope SCOTUS calls their bluff on that.

Same thing happened under FDR. Committees were discussing a ‘compulsory contribution to government backed annuity’ and the FDR came out with his ‘Earnings tax’ to pay for it, in other words Social Security tax. And Fdr made a famous quote of 2 sentences where in the 1st sentence he called it a ‘contribution’ and the second sentence he called it a ‘tax’.

In the Obamacare Act they explicitly call it a tax. Biden and others have said, even Rush said in 2010, that they were following FDR’s playbook which is call it a purchase in public and call it a tax in court. They knew what they were doing.

SCOTUS can’t do much about how they passed the legislation or how deceitful they were in its passage. They have to look at the statute and its says ‘tax’ and then they have to decide if income taxes are allowed to raise revenues. We know the answer.

Conservatives are going to be so disappointed. That’s why I have been begging people to read about the following:

http://www.fairtax.org/site/PageServer?pagename=about_faq

because the above will replace the income tax code with a code that can exist without the 16th Amendment.

And without the 16th Amendment there will be no further progress in establishing socialism.
