Fears that some of the worlds most sophisticated anti-aircraft weapons that disappeared from government warehouses in Libya would end up in the hands of stateless insurgent are being realized.
At least some of the roughly 480 high-performance SA-24 Grinch shoulder-launched missiles that disappeared during the Libyan uprising have reappeared in the hands of insurgents on the borders of Israel, say senior Israeli officials.
The advanced weapons were smuggled out of Libya to Iran. From there the supply line split, with some weapons going to Syria and finally to the military wing of the Hezbollah organization in Lebanon. Others were smuggled into Egypt and then to Hamas in Gaza.

For those owning them, make them all look like Lott’s wife.
Ssshhh. Some want us to believe Assad is a “good guy”.
You know, the guy who had the North Koreans building a nuclear reactor until the Israelis did the world a favor and took care of it.
There are no “good guys” over there, just “bad guys” and “even worse guys.”
The Criminal 0bama Regime gave this little or no thought when they helped take out Ghadaffi.
They did not care.
It’s bad and gonna get worse either way. There is no way of fixing this short of turning the entire Middle East into a glass parking lot.
And that creates its own special unintended consequences.
Yeah these will likely end up in insurgents hands. And Assad will still have his SCUD’s and non-nuke WMD’s.

A crippled Assad is less dangerous than a Muslim Brotherhood controling most of North Africa and the levant. Iran’s nuclear program matters. Ba’athists and Shia Islamists vs the Muslim Brotherhood playing by Hama rules is a good thing. The more they kill each other, the less they work together.
Yeah, he was only building a nuclear reactor with the commies from North Korea. What could go wrong?
He’s been aligned with Iran and Hezbollah a long time. None of it is any good.
Russia: we’re happy to sell arms to Assad
