Obama’s 41% approval rate in CBS/NYT poll is far from the only bad news it held for him

The shock of last week’s CBS News/New York Times poll showing Barack Obama at just 41% was well understandable. Incumbent presidents don’t get reelected with approval numbers at or below 45%.

Nevertheless, the results turned out to be a matter of not being able to see the forest for the trees. Since we could not have expected the ashen faced leftists at the New York Times to point out the other bad news in their poll, adding to their misery seems highly appropriate.

Hidden in the report was the fact that a staggering 80% of those polled said they are NOT better off today than they were four years ago.

News flash for the “expert pundits”: people vote their pocketbook in normal times and these are far from “normal times.” Obama is a man who dampens enthusiasm for his own base and builds enthusiasm to vote among his opponents.

As bad as the reported numbers in this survey are they were still worse because the Democrat cheerleader pollsters could not resist using phony understated samples of Republicans and phony overstated samples of Democrats.

The percentage of Republicans sampled was a laughable 26% which is a full 10 points lower than Rasmussen says it is. The 33% Democrat sample was actually .5% higher than what is actually true.

Moreover, no matter what the media tries to tell us, 54% believe Obama is capable of bringing down the price of gas and will of course hold him accountable. Blaming George Bush for this problem isn’t washing.

The trends of the numbers are also running against Obama.

In just the past month Republican disapproval has grown 7 points; Independents who once favored Obama now disapprove of him and even Democrat approval has fallen to 78% from 85%.....

The under sample of Republicans is so far off that it HAD to be by design. It's worse for Obama than the media wants to admit. What else is new?

Bracko Bama’s poll numbers would be a lot worse if not for Blacks, Queers, and Unions.

There is no one who is not on welfare or Government sponsored associations ,who would vote for this idiot upon his record alone.

The liberals have been telling us that Obama is going to cruise to re-election. They say he’s made the tough decisions, and that the economy is turning around. They say that people like Obamacare once they know what is in it.

Joe Biden tells us Obama has a spine of steel or something along those lines. He said the raid to get Bin Laden was the most daring military mission of the last 500 years, and Obama had the courage to make the call, etc. etc.

Tom Hanks narrated video tells us that this president has had to cope with the most crises of any president since the days of FDR.

To listen to the liberals, they have to be shocked, just shocked, that Obama’s job approval could be so low.

So to add it all up, yes, it must be the fault of Fox News. And Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity, and everyone in talk radio, who won’t cut this president a break.

Too bad that wasn’t the problem the first time. He certainly had no record worth talking about. What, present.

There is only one thing I can think of that would be worse than an Obama second term: A Romney first term.

If romney is the nominee, our only hope is a republican congress and a neutered Obama.

You can discount at least 5 percent of that rating and write it off to bias. If he’s actually polling above 35 percent, I’d be surprised. The ONLY thing propping up that Potemkin village of a president is his media troupe.

‘staggering 80% of those polled said they are NOT better off today than they were four years ago.’-—

And the raping Obama and the Democrats did to the citizenry will have effects for generations to come.

The country is beginning to show signs of bulls**t fatigue.

Did he really think he could talk his way through four years of the American presidency?

embarrassment

"He said the raid to get Bin Laden was the most daring military mission of the last 500 years, and Obama had the courage to make the call, etc. etc."

Biden said that?

The raid was organized and executed by Leon Panetta, while Obama waffled and wavered. When he was out on the golf course Panetta took great leeway with Obama's last waffle and assumed he had authorization to go ahead unless told not to- and so he did.

Obama was called in off the golf course to tell him it was underway

Obama could then claim he never ordered it, if it failed, or take credit if it worked. The people around him know this is how to get things done- just go ahead do it and hope for the best.

The good thing is that even idiots who go around saying "Well, Obama got Bin Laden" are sounding as stupid as they really are- no one is buying it. Clinton made it worse by saying he hopes he would have been able to make that same choice... when in actuality he was offered bin laden on a silver platter and turned him down. So if he is going to run on "I got Bin Laden" I don't think it is going to work.

Good points. Many of us can agree that the Obama administration did the right thing by going after Bin Laden. But that’s just about the only decision made by this administration that we can agree with.

So for them to run on their record of getting Bin Laden, hoping to attract conservative or moderate/independent voters support, is a non-starter.

Most daring in 500 years? Biden has got to be mentally retarded. I guess he never heard of Normandy, Yorktown, Iwo Jima, Antietam, Saratoga, Gettysburg or Midway.

He must have forgotten THIS:

Do you think Biden is even aware of anything that is not floating around in what he uses for a mind at this particular instant? He has some form of political Tourette's syndrome, where he blurts out whatever idiotic notion flies into his funnel.

He really believes he's brilliant because he got 1350 on the SAT back in 1967, or whatever. He is possessed of one of the smallest minds in American politics, beating even Chucky Schumer.

Obama is a man who dampens enthusiasm for his own base and builds enthusiasm to vote among his opponents.

That observations parallels this Rasmussen trend. Plus 80% of those who disapprove of Obama according to Rasmussen strongly disapprove, while only 53% of those who approve feel strongly about their approval. Unless Obama can find a better motivator than Fluke, we're going to have a good year. All we need is for the GOP to avoid choosing an incompetent moron who turns off the base . . . oops . . . I just pray that when the GOP establishment chooses a liberal RINO, at least conservatives will come to the polls and elect the conservative Congress we need to restrain either Romney or Obama.

That 80% of Americans say they are worse off or no better off should be shouted by the rooftops by GOP candidates! Crickets...
