Republican congressman accuses Party elders of cowardice

Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert has admitted what most Republican voters have known for a very long time—that the Republican Party leadership is more concerned with the dictates of political correctness and scorn from a liberal press corps than with fighting for the rights of the American people.

Though Gohmert maintains Republican big-wigs like John Boehner and Mitch McConnell really are committed to the defeat of Barack Hussein Obama, he stated in a January interview with Rush Limbaugh that Party elders believe the only way to accomplish it is “by being nice.” (1)

That’s why Republicans were told to “handle [Nancy Pelosi] with kid gloves,” said Gohmert. “She’s the first female Speaker of the House,” he and other Republican congressmen were warned by the Republican leadership.

So naturally she had to be above criticism and insulated from rebuke in SPITE of her Marxist leanings, lavish spending of taxpayer dollars and ludicrous treatment of Air Force personnel ordered to have all of her favorite liquors on the many jets made available at her beck and call. (1)

And as for Barack Obama, courageous Party elders were quite unconcerned with his deliberate trampling of the Constitution, destruction of the economy or trading billions in tax dollars for campaign kickbacks. “Look, if you go after the president, you’re going to be called a racist,” said the Mitch McConnells and...

Bull cookies.

There is so much 'low hanging fruit' where the Obummer Regime is concerned, he could have been impeached ten times over by now....if only Boehner had any balls atall.

Who the hell cares?

I am so sick of someone getting special treatment because they are the "first female this" or "first black that"

You would think other members of said groups would want "the first" to be a shining example of the best you can get, not incompetent boobs or shrieking harpies.

Good on you, Rep. Gohmert! One caveat, though.. I don`t believe Boehner and McConnell are committed to defeating Obama.

The Congressman is a Newt supporter.

One of the few in Congress who will openly say so.

He said he would’ve supported Perry except by the time Perry ran, he had already pledged to Newt.

let him know how you feel

For example ask if anyone has peeked under his pretty pink dress to see if he actually has a set of balls, or just a wet hanky

Good for Goehmert for sticking his neck out and speaking the truth...they are cowards and I tell them that exact same thing every time they send me an RNC donation "survey"/"ballot"/"delegate candidate" request.

The GOPe "Leaders" are a disgrace and disappointment.

The republican “leadership” are simply a bunch of cowardly cockroaches & should be treated as such. This is why I completely given up on the GOP. Hell will freeze over several times before I vote for another republican. Democrat? Simply out of the question! They lost me some time ago w/ winners like Dole, McCain, Romney, Rove, etc. A completely worthless lot. A pox on their house!

I believe both things are true.

As LG said, they want to defeat Obama.

They also think that if you’re too tough on him, you can’t beat him.

By being nice, but saying he has the wrong policies, that’s how you beat him.

Otherwise you lose.

Rush has explained this about this people. He says they genuinely believe this. And have, for a very long time.

I think it’s worse than cowardice. I think they are democrat plants. Democrats have infiltrated and taken control of their competition.

When these two were reelected to leadership in Congress after the sweep of 2010, I knew we were in trouble.

We need courageous warriors in this fight, and we have them, but they are batted down by the likes of these two and those who are more concerned with their own positions.

They are fiddling while this country burns.

Actually as someone told me recently when I was railing about about O turd and the coming election: They are all the same guy, that is what you don’t see. They have one agenda, the professional elected government.

Isn’t it possible to be nice while driving an ice pick through soft tissue? Sheesh, I’ve seen experts at being nice who manage to continue being nice while methodically eliminating their opposition. You make your own press, and being torn down by the MSM ought to be a character-building experience, the kind where you advance over the fallen bodies of the press so that when they see you coming they hand you their car keys and the microphone and slink away, worried that you might be following. The only thing the pale half-men of the Beltway press respect is a carpet-bombing a-hole who will smiles broadly while he flips on the meat grinder. Go out, find a few nice leaders who can smile and continue to speak to the Grannies while standing on a few throats. We send all sorts of nice people to Washington, there have to be a few who can focus on two objectives at once.

Louie is one of the FEW good Congresscritters.

But, unless they stand up to their corrupt leadership and REPLACE them, it won’t make much of a difference.

We could certainly use a second party. What’s sickening is the republicans allow the dems to slander them on a daily basis. This tells me they are in cahoots with the dems.

I just wish all tea party congress people would call a press conference and explain to the people who elected him about boner’s threats. This congressman did it but in a tame way. So maybe this will give others the courage.

Finally, why do more not speak out? Did they get addicted to the power, prestige and perks that fast?

Dog droppings. The people who run the show for the GOP aren’t hamstrung by political correctness or spinelessness. The people who run the show are flat out traitors who helped create (by commission or omission) the problems we now face. All this stuff has been planned for a long time and it’s finally coming to fruition.

If anyone thinks Prez BOzo is responsible for the state of things needs to dig a little deeper. This goof couldn’t organize a class reunion for 20 people and he’s supposed to be quarterbacking everything that’s going on? He’s barely competent at being a finger puppet for Pete’s sake.
