Mark Levin: Paul Ryan says to rally around Romney, but why should I? Just because he said so?

It’s very painful to watch all these politicians – even some who are conservatives, don’t get me wrong, but they’re politicians nonetheless – that we all have to rally around, rally around…

Let me tell you something. We have to rally around the Constitution. We have to rally around our children and grandchildren. We have to rally around principles, tried and true principles based on human experience. This isn’t about rallying around some politician. It’s about fighting for our country, taking our country back. This is the process.

But to hear some of these numbskulls who think they’re so smart tell us “yeah there’ve been some people out there who’ve really divided us“. Well then I guess we shouldn’t have a primary! I guess we shouldn’t look at anybody’s record! I guess we should just say ‘John McCain you’re it, Bob Dole you’re it, another Bush you’re it, eh Romney you’re it, this one’s it‘, why do we go through the process? In other words that’s just about as stupid as you can to get to make comments like that.

He goes on to suggest that just because Paul Ryan says to rally around Romney, doesn’t make him want to change his mind.

Lifetime ratings for Santorum are only 88%. Lindsay Graham of all people, beats him by several points. In regards to Santorum’s lifetime “CONservative” record, he is not even close to the top. Duncan Hunter, Jim DeMint, and several others are all in the high 90% range.

Anybody can do a search, but the lifetime ACU ratings is the standard most of us go by.

And resorting to your usual infantile name calling tactics by accusing me of being a liberal? My response to you is; ROFLMAO! I fought for my country, have been on this forum for over a decade and I worked for the Ronald Reagan campaign in ‘80 and ‘84. Having you define me, is not even close to being a concern.

ACU isn’t perfect, which is why you should expand your research to include MORE than one source. Don’t be a lazybones researcher.

Thank you for your service, but you are not conservative now, if you support Romney, and here’s more reasons why:

“..one of the biggest liabilities of Mitt Romney’s health care law in Massachusetts: the fact that health-insurance premiums in Massachusetts have skyrocketed since the law was put into place..”

“As more people became insured, more people demanded the care of doctors. These doctors became overloaded with patients and waiting lists for doctors got longer and longer. As a result, ERs in Massachusetts have not seen a downturn in visits. On the contrary, it seems that ER visits are actually on the upswing in the Bay State. In fact, in 2007 they were higher than the national average by 20 percent.”

Romney is not my buddy. I really don’t care for him all that much but I think he has the best chance of beating O. I also think the reason McCain lost is because conservatives saw him as a RINO ( which is true) and just didn’t bother to vote because of that and look what we got. I also believe if that happens again, this Republic will be history.

I know Mark Levin is a god around here but I can’t listen to him. He’s rude to callers even those who agree with him.

As for why he should listen to Ryan, he shouldn’t... but he should use his own common sense and be for the Republican nominee.

Anyone who doesn’t is voting for Obama.

I will not vote for Obama.

I kind of agree with you but McCain was worse in a lot of ways than Romney. He was a really bad candidate with no personality or charm. He was also a rino, which he’s proven since the election.

Also, Obama was the new thing, promised a lot, people believed him.

Any intelligent Obama voter will have realized he is a bad president.

The rest of the Obama voter will be more apathetic. They will still be for Obama but may not bother to vote this time.

PS I respect Ryan a lot.

“..As for why he should listen to Ryan, he shouldn’t... but he should use his own common sense and be for the Republican nominee. ..”

If you listened to Mark’s show, he has repeatedly said he will support Romney IF he is the nominee.

But it’s not over yet, and Mark wants a CONSERVATIVE in the White House.

Some Republians don’t realize what they are doing. IF we get another liberal Republican, many conservatives will just stay home, like they did with McCain, and we could end up losing the General Election, and if Romney wins the presidency, people will say there’s no difference between the Republicans and the Dems.

For instance, my destist, a nice man, but admittedly not with a lot of political saavy, said he voted for Obama, because he didn’t like Bush. Well, Bush wasn’t conservative enough, but he was way better than Romney, so what do you think Romney will do to turn people off? It will be WORSE.

FIGHT for Rick - it’s not too late. There have been political upsets before. You can still vote for whoever gets the nod in the General Election.

Many people don’t like Romney, but are voting for him because they THINK “he has the best chance of beating O.” Well, in over a century no Republican has won against the Democrat incumbent, EXCEPT for Ronald Reagan, a CONSERVATIVE.

Our best chance is to have a CONSERVATIVE nominee. The people who only voted for Romney because they mistakingly thiought “he has the best chance of beating O,” will certainly vote for Rick Santorum in the General Election, plus Rick won’t turn off the conservative vote, who will stay home just like they did with McCain.
