There was a time when I thought Ryan was the real thing.

I am so easily fooled.

I didn’t vote for Mitt in the primary here in Florida & refuse to vote for him in the November election. I held my nose & voted the party line for Dole & McCain & won’t do it again. As a previous Democrat then Republican it looks like I’m moving to Independent as the parties keep moving to the left & no longer represent my views. The Dems are now the Socialist Party, the Republicans the Democrat Party & I among others are left out as Conservatives.

Romney’s dad was a student and supporter of Saul Alinsky

Sure he was. The president of American Motors. Nice April Fools joke.

"I find it interesting that some FReepers who screeched long and loud about Santorum’s endorsement of Arlen Specter years ago are now rationalizing supporting Romney for political reasons."

I'm seeing a fair number of people going soft on Romney, and it's disturbing.

Ship of fools is getting crowded.

Jeb Bush
HW Bush
Marko Rubio
Paul Ryan
John Bolton
Nikki Haley
Kelly Ayotte
John Sununu
Rob Portman
Ann Coulter
Jim Demint
Dan Quale
Eric Cantor
Donald Trump
Michael Medved
Dennis Miller

Although Herman Cain had the best chance of defeating the Kenyan Candidate, Newt is the smartest one left in the 4 remaining and would get the most done if elected president. Santorum’s voting record in senate scares me.

I just googled "George Romney Saul Alinsky." It seems Romney conferred with Alinsky and believed people should listen to him.

I'm not surprised at anything that falls when the Romney tree gets shaken.

“Mark also said something like, People notice, the “insiders” are endorsing Romney.”

This Group Think gets on our nerves, and only makes us want to fight for Santorum more!

Olympia Snowe would be better? Susan Collins would be better? Meghan McCain would be better? Are we certain of this?

I would say ALMOST any Republican, because some are just liberals with an (R) next to their name. In a sense they are worse because they’ll tell you THEY are the genuine Republican and you’re not, and then you’ll have people saying you have to stop criticizing them because we don’t criticize our own (which is exactly what we bash the democrats for not doing).

IMO, anyone that gives aid and comfort to Romney - to include passive support - loses any and all credibility with me.

That he can win the GOP primary is as big, or more so, an outrage to me as than Obama was elected POTUS in 2008.

I expect the general electorate to be stupid. However, when the GOP is....I won’t cut it a break. The party of Ronald Reagan has gone down the toilet.

“ANY Republican in the White House will be better than what we have. If conservatives refuse to vote for the Republican nominee because he is “not conservative” enough, then they will probably not have to worry about voting in 2016.”

HOWEVER, this is the PRIMARY season, and we still have a chance to get a CONSERVATIVE in the White House.

Romney doesn’t have as many delegates as he has claimed, because the RNC rules require that states, who held their primaries before April 1, cannot be Winner-Take-All states, so Romney will lose delegates, including Florida.

“We’ve got to TRY to stop him in the primaries.”

And pledge to NEVER support him in a general election. It is the only way to possibly salvage the GOP before it becomes a milder form of the DNC.

“Even Breitbart, in his last speech, said that he would rally around whoever gets the nomination.”

Which hopefully will be Santorum, especially if we don’t cave this early.

I see a fair number coming out of the closet for Romney, since I think Jim Rob has relaxed the zot a bit for romneybots.

Interestingly some of the people who used to frequent the Palin threads two or three years ago to disparage her and her potential candidacy, are the ones who are ABO (meaning for Romney).

If Mitt gets the nomination, even if he wins the election, we need to start a new party on Nov. 7 which excludes the GOP establishment. At a minimum it should help scare Willard to right on his policies, should he win.

My own personal analogy is everytime one of these ' so called conservatives'... join forces with Romney.....

...it's like weeding out the tares from the wheat.

GO WHEAT!!!....PRESS ON SANTORUM!
