Mending Fences

Now that the dust is settling in the Republican candidate stakes, it looks like Mitt will be our nominee. And I’m fine with that. Really. I am.

After four years of President Downgrade, we will need to do some fast damage control if we hope to regain even a bit of our former standing in the world community. With that in mind, I have several suggestions for actions President Romney can take very soon after he is sworn in:

1.Contact someone in England and suggest that, because of the very special relationship that exists between the two countries, we’d really love to have that bust of Churchill back and proudly displayed in the White House.

2.Issue an invitation to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to a White House state dinner in his honor. Allow him to dine with the guests.

3.Ditto the Dalai Lama. Allow him to enter and exit by the front door.

4.Make sure there is a fully-staffed Protocol office, and that they actually know what they are doing regarding things like vetting guests at state dinners and choosing special gifts for foreign dignitaries...

Yeah I’ll definitely be voting but it will be to remove Debbie Stabenow.

That is in effect a vote for Obama. Often we are provided with the choice of the lessor of two evils.

I voted for the "lessor of two evils" last time. I'm pretty sure that I'm done with that. The sooner we get past deconstruction and begin reconstruction, the better...

If the Republican party can only nominate RINOs then that’s how we should vote. Better a slow train to socialism than a scramjet.

Except that Mitt is not a RINO.

He's a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal as his record readily shows.

Well Daisy Mae, you can’t blame these Yankees for being a little scared. They don’t have family members who lived through a period of reconstruction like we do. :)

What conservatives should be doing at this point is looking to strong house and senate candidates to put into DC. Make the Presidency irrelevant.

Romney is not my candidate, he is the GOP-e's candidate. The guy will get destroyed in the general election as socially he's not that different than a liberal democrat. It is going to be very easy for the Dem's to depress GOP voter moral by bringing up Romney's own record and statements. So please, spare us the lecture on how we just mus vote for Romney otherwise our vote by default is going to Obama. Many, many of us here have been fed that line of crap in politics for over a decade.

Obama is going to whip Romney like an unfaithful muslim wife...

LOL, That's funny and probably true.

He was the only nominee. That is the problem.

The time to send a message and fight is now. It's not too late to stop Romney. I can't believe people are accepting the GOP-e and MSM’s horse manure as easily as this.

They, and their descendents, are going to know something far worse than reconstruction, if they continue to allow themselves to be led by the nose down the cute primrose path that leads to communism.

“May the odds forever be in their favor!” LOL

What’s the plan? I still have a state primary to vote in. But what after that? Please tell me. I’ll be glad to participate.

With O in office from 2013 Supreme Court nominations become
crucual. Its realistic to assume that some of the consevative Justices will need to retire and only votes in the Senate and control of the Judiciary Committe will prevent another ‘wise Latina’ liberal activist from the Court.

Vote/work for Santorum because he is the contender that’s closest to Romney.

We’ve got to keep Romney from getting those 1,144 delegates.
