This column has not commented on the Zimmerman/Martin case for good reason. Since the facts surrounding this incident still remain unclear, it serves no purpose to speculate about what transpired in the tragic event. That is what the court system is for and it should be allowed to operate without outside interference.
Unfortunately, other media outlets and certain individuals seeking personal fame have taken to the airways, print, and streets staking out extreme positions while having no knowledge about the actual event. This has resulted in some very strong feelings on both sides of the issue that should and must be defused.
Unfortunately, President Obama felt the need to make his voice heard too. Instead of calling for reason and urging that people allow the process to work its way out, however, he may have made matters worse by saying “If I had a son he would look like Trayvon.” It was interpreted as taking sides on this tragic event.
Because this issue has been allowed to fester, we are now faced with a deteriorating circumstance. There are now open calls for murdering Mr. Zimmerman and the judge in this case. Matters are beginning to get seriously out of hand.
So the time has come for President Obama to make his voice heard again… this time constructively. He should clearly state that calls for violence against judges and defendants in legal cases are an outrage. Vigilantism will not be condoned. Calm must prevail and reasonable voices must be heard.
The situation is rapidly getting out of hand. Should a jury find Mr. Zimmerman innocent after reviewing all of the evidence… there is every reason to anticipate violence unless reasoned people take command of the situation.
Americans must remember that our greatest value is our diversity. That is the basis upon which this nation is formed and it must be cherished. The alternative is to grim to even consider.
He may have a chance, but he won’t use it.
And while Obama is doing all this he should also condemn HBO Bill M.
Also he needs to contact Bristol Palin and mom
Should the President intervene on the side of George Zimmerman, anymore than he should intervene to convict Zimmerman. This is a matter for Florida courts, police, and prosecutors. If people don’t like the U.S. system of law, leave.
Obama needs to STFU and sit down, on this matter and all other matters.
That is flatly totally stupidly wrong. Our greatest value and strength is the fact that many people of many nations and languages came here and became Americans with common ideals and common cultures that is comprised of those many people and nations.
Obama couldn’t lead the public to McDonald’s, even if he was buying. There is no way he can magically become a leader capable of quelling the impending violence.
Obama, and his entire farcical administration openly mock the entire U.S.A. and our system of laws.
You can join him, when he either leaves or is imprisoned for treason.

Obama needs to call of his racist dogs.
Obama is only an "anti" leader. He can only lead and organize against something. He has not idea how to build a consensus, plan and follow through. Totally inept. He may or may not be evil, but he certainly is unqualified and inept.

Why should Obama try to calm this matter down? He’s a marxist community organizer. The Martin-Zimmerman tragedy is an event he simply can’t let get away from his hateful propagandizing.

There is no trick to giving people handouts. Leadership involves showing people that the solution lies through the harder path, and then getting them to take it with you.

He does not want to quell any violence. He wants race riots. Then, he can declare his National Emergency. Then, he can pronounce himself Dictator.
