The demonization of George Zimmerman and the deification of Trayvon Martin continues.
There is little doubt in the eyes of the media and a certain element in American society that George Zimmerman, the man now formally charged with the murder of Trayvon Martin, is guilty. Much like the Queen of Hearts in Lewis Carroll’s fable, Alice in Wonderland, many would just as soon sentence Zimmerman first and try him later, if at all.
This attitude clearly was on display in the protests that erupted after the shooting made national news several weeks ago. It seemed virtually everyone was determined to rush to judgment, trying Zimmerman in the media long before he could ever have his day in the courtroom. The Florida prosecutor responsible for bringing the murder charge against Zimmerman based her decision on some of the flimsiest evidence and legal analysis I have ever seen. Whether this defendant will be able to receive a fair trial is a very real question at this point.
The latest absurd development involving the case occurred last Friday, when Malcolm X Elementary School in the District of Columbia hosted “Trayvon Martin Day.” According to the local ABC News affiliate in D.C., the school gave Arizona Iced Tea to every parent and Skittles to each child — items that Martin allegedly had purchased just before the incident with Zimmerman that resulted in his death. If the school had more money, it probably would have handed out “hoodies” like the one Martin apparently was wearing the night he was killed.
School administrators and other supporters of Trayvon Martin Day explained that students can learn valuable lessons from the incident that occurred between Zimmerman and Martin on February 26th in Sanford, Florida. Those who came up with this bizarre idea either know exactly what happened during that incident — how else could they know what valuable lessons the incident can impart to their students in the District of Columbia — or are simply using the incident for some other agenda, like so many other observers and organizations are doing. Somehow, I doubt it’s the former.
J. Harrison-Coleman, the school’s principal, issued as silly a defense of the incident as one might expect. She told WJLA TV, “We want to send a message to stop the bullying and bring about a happy spirit.” Perhaps the program honoring Trayvon Martin was accompanied by a chorus of “Kumbaya” to help foster a “happy spirit.” Unsurprisingly, the District of Columbia public school system is backing the decision, because it “recognize[s] the value of getting parents and community members together to discuss problems students may face.”
Of course, “getting parents and community members together to discuss problems students may face” is not necessarily a bad idea. The question is, to discuss what problems? Some manufactured problem about an already highly politicized legal case in Florida? How about getting parents and teachers together to discuss the problems District of Columbia students face in the job market, because of the poor quality of education they receive in the D.C. public school system, which ranks among the worst in the nation by most objective standards?
While the students at Malcolm X surely enjoyed their Skittles, the sweetness they bring will be long outlasted by the bitterness the students will live with later for having been educated in a public school system more concerned with politics and racial division than with educating the young students that it is charged with educating.
Lesson = Don't attack someone for no reason, because he might just be armed.
Some wag ought to tell the school it forgot to include either codeine or DXM depending on whether you want real or ersatz lean.

This militancy and teaching of race hate has been going on for close to 50 years now.
If anyone is curious about what effect it has, all they have to do is look at black on white rape, murder and robbery statistics from say 1965 compared to today and in post 60s decades.
It is mind boggling that it is not considered a national emergency, instead it has been concealed for all this time.

I’d ask if this was satire, but I know better these days than to think anything is too absurd to be real.
I suppose it would be racist to ask if they used taxpayer funds to buy all those goodies?
AND DOGGONE IT, IT WAS NOT ICED TEA! IT WAS THE POLITICALLY INCORRECT WATERMELON DRINK! (Which with Skittles is apparently the flavorant of choice for lean, whether real or ersatz.)

Why of COURSE taxpayer funds were used for this! You think the principal and teachers chipped in out of the anti-racist goodness of their hearts?
IMHO, if Barack Obama had not jumped into this issue, even his homies wouldn’t be so adamant that they know what the score was in this fight between Master T. and Mr. Z. Barack Obama lent the dignity (such as it had left) of the White House to the racist hyenas, and it doesn’t look like there’s a single adult in charge any more.

The real KKK wouldn’t have given George Zimmerman the time of day! A quadroon at least, a Hispanic, if typical of Hispanics also a Catholic, and a name that sounds awfully Jewish.
Now the violins will play the sad song that Master T. was forced by a bullying ethnic stereotype to buy the watermelon drink. (Actually if bullying to keep the folks on the plantation is taking place, most of that is by other black people, however not without a substantial white cheering section of liberals. All these lies and all this bullying and all the lies to cover THAT up, are a sight to behold, one that would make Satan proud.)
That’s what gets me, they make Zimmerman out to be white, the MSM calling him “white-hispanic” one even calling him KKK, and I’m like what person are they talking about? Are they kidding? They are so fanatical to make this a race issue they will lie, say anything to get it done. This is just like the Rodney King case 20 years ago. They edited the video tape to just show King getting beat, not the part where King kept charging the cops after getting tased THREE times or the part where he pulled down his pants telling them to kiss his ass. All they showed was him getting beat 24 hours a day on TV. They did everything they could to make it a race issue and as a result they started a riot which to this day the MSM is not blamed for.
It’s worse than Rodney King. I wonder how many network news outlets were even aware that there was telling additional material in the beating tape — they only got the trimmed version and stupidly passed that on to viewers in their local markets. And the internet was still in its speed-infancy, and did not usually carry videos.
These people today are denying the proverbial 800 lb. elephant. Oh well, like alcoholics I guess the liberals will have to hit bottom. Too bad conservatives were not ready to coordinate on one person to pick up the pieces afterwards, and so we get the amateur Marvelous Mitt. (Even he looks marvelous next to Barack.)
Shunted to the margins by society, these youngsters someday might well drink this cup of bitterness but the same reflexive intellectual dishonesty which causes them to indulge themselves on Travon Martin rather than the 3Rs, will provide them as failed adults with all the rationalizations they will need to project blame elsewhere. As adults they will binge on the same racialism they are being fed now as kids.
These youngsters are being taught that one determines reality by first identifying the group, characterizing the group as good or bad, and concluding justice from group identity. In more primitive, less cosmopolitan areas of the world than our Nation's Capital this practice is known as tribalism. Tribal identity determines reality, truth, justice, right and wrong.
This is why it is statistically hopeless to try to wean African-American voters away from Barack Obama. This is why African-Americans obsess against the weight of all the evidence on the Travon Martin case. This is why there is no real regard for learning the ABCs, because you do not need an elevated standard of learning to determine skin color and thus to identify the tribe -although the determination of Zimmerman's tribe has been as difficult for the left as bureaucratic identification of gender these days.
We see much the same going on today on the Arab street with the same consequences for the economic, intellectual, social, and spiritual health of the Arab world. Until Africans in America and Arabs mired in Islam depart from tribalism and superstition and embrace the scientific method, we will see more and more of the same.
And the cup of bitterness will overflow.
What happens when the much more populous tribes refuse to share their bounty and largess with the smaller tribe? Who will feed the little Trayvons and Trayneshas, the Anjawons and Anzhaniques? Will the “baby daddys” step up and feed their offspring through hard work? The current situation is unsustainable and we all know it. Once the loot from urban looting is gone, what then? There are guns in the suburbs and exurbs and those who know how to use them.
It’s horribly hard to be high minded in the face of racist bullcrap this blatant. Yet black America wasn’t always this far gone; and this, even before Jim Crow had heaved its final death rattle.
Virtually all this grief can be laid in the laps of liberals.
