But if the bureau has its way, an arrangement that has worked well for decades will be cast aside, with the owners of all 114 mobile homes being told to pack up and get out by 2022. The bureau justifies its action by claiming that the mobile homes could be ripped from their moorings during a flood, posing a risk to the reservoir’s earthen dam and to areas down river. After a severe flood – the worst in 50 years -- struck the area in 2009, the bureau, without consulting leaseholders, abruptly directed that all mobile homes be removed from the lake no later than 2010. Yet of 114 mobile homes on the lake, only 16 had water in them, and no homes became detached from their moorings.

Lake Tschida is a great place to camp, fish, and boat - this is where I learned to water ski. We called it Heart Butte.

So—they have given them 10 years to pack it up and leave!

If any of us survive the next 10 years, a mobile home park will be the least of anybody’s worries, I’m thinking.....

Just replace the 114 mobile home with a more secure and semi-permanent dwelling. You have 10 years to replace it. Mobile homes are an eyesore anyway.

As with most things gubment theses days it is all about the "Power of the State". It's not about what is best, or what makes sense. It's no longer about the arrogance of "we know what's best for you". It is pure and simple power. Power that is growing uncheck.

It's going to get ugly when the pushback come.

Now be a good little citizen and get back to work and pay your taxes (if you know what's good for you).

Wife’s family had a MH on a lot leased in a state park on Lake Greeson in Arkansas. Became a small town on the weekends, lots of income for the small community. State got a complaint, required all units to be gone by end of year. Some moved to a private site, others left. Park far less used than it was, income declined in the community.

Agenda 21.

Herd all the peasants into high-rise stockades where they can be managed more easily and the final solution implemented more efficiently when the time comes.

The taking of people's enjoyment and livelihoods in the name of protecting them, or false environmental concerns (see: Agenda 21) is not a laughing matter to those who are being trampled under government boots.

Yep. Check this story from Michigan out. The people voted 61-39 against zoning for wind farms so the township is transferring some 4000 acres to a neighboring township for them to build wind farms on it.

Town Votes Down Windmill Plan, Board Moving Ahead Anyways

I was born and raised in Grand Forks, but I hope to get out that way some day.

Agreed. This has the stench of Agenda 21 all over it. First the excuse which usually involves a tiny fish, but here threat of danger.. Bullcr*p. This is a test run for future evictions.. Agenda 21 requires thousands upon thousands of evictions to "NORMAL USE ZONES OF COOPERATION".

AGENDA 21

Americans no longer own America. Pictures, Images and Photos

they need to elect a Sheriff that WILL stand up tot he federal government and be willing to lay down their LIFE for this cause.

Any freepers in the area want to run for Sheriff?

Run on this platform and I am sure you would get elected, then once elected, start forming a large posse and root out all the big statists in County Sheriff's office and fire them. Then start deputising.
